Before I outline what my exact issue is, as this issue is the result of a bug, I’m copy-pasting my post in the bug report forum bellow:
I have encountered this bug 3 times now.
During the trial of the champion, in both normal and heroic, I have not been able to loot the second boss. I killed it once on my warlock and twice on my DK (once in normal and once in heroic.). At no time did I ever get loot. The boss walks over to the center of the arena, spawns the chest, but never despawns.
At first, I thought it was because I was killing the trash before the boss too quickly, so I slowed down. The bug still occured. Then I thought it was because I was 1-shotting the boss, so I was careful to do damage a little at a time. The bug still occured.
Interesting to note that out of the 3 attempts, two were Argent Confessor Paletress, and both times she did not spawn the memory add that I’m supposed to fight.
Now, the reason for my post in this forum is that this bug has caused me to miss out on two Champion’s Seals. One for the heroic kill of the boss on my character Jarlock, and one for the heroic kill of the boss on my DK Jarclanator.
I don’t care about the rest of the loot that drops from this boss, but given that those champion’s seals are the entire reason that I’m farming the Argent Tournament, losing out on them is unfortunate.
I tried it and Eadric the Pure also doesn’t despawn/leave the arena, the chest isn’t clickable and I’m permanently in combat. Seems something is definitely wrong with the second encounter. Iirc, Eadric and Paletress usually turn friendly after defeating them, but they don’t now. That may be where the script is breaking.
If you have the report in the Bug Report forum, then you’ve done all you can. If you try it again, report it in-game as it happens (I’m going to do that now). That method provides a wealth of extra info to QA that makes investigating bugs easier.

Thank you for the confirmation that I’m not the only one.
I farm Argent Tournament 7 times a day, so I guess I’ll file an in-game bug report each time it happens from now on.
In the meantime, for anyone who comes across this while farming seals, I want to share a way to off-set this bug:
If you run Trial of the Champion on normal, the Black Knight drops a seal. It is more work, but you can get an additional seal to make up for the lost one from the second boss on heroic.

Bumping to say I’m getting the same bug. 2nd boss doesn’t turn friendly and can’t loot chest on both normal and heroic.
Instead of bumping post in bug forums where the right people can look at the issue.
