Important to note here is that you don’t have all the passives yet. Oblit KM frost damage for instance is lvl 58.

But it doesnt gain more, it gains the same. Its just that 2h is inherently weaker so being able to get a set amount of KM procs if played properly makes it look like its actually doing something beneficial. It still only gets 25% damage on a single ability while DW gets 15% on all of the abilities that it would focus on which is Howling Blast, Frost Strike, Frostscythe and Obliterate.
Ultimately 2h is forced into a talent to try to equalize KM procs which it can only do within that window.
Can 2H not just use razorice too? If it is more valuable then the strength, I would.
EDIT: and wouldn’t that mean even more benefit for 2H, since obliterate also hits harder for 2H?
Obliteration increases the % of your total damage that comes from Obliterate. This benefits 2H more than DW.
Then you lose out on a str steroid that stacks with other str steroids.
Yes, but if the 15% damage on top of all my abilities and especially my hardest hitting ability, is more than the STR, I would choose that every day of the week.
Also a chance for 15% strength vs 15% more damage all the time (if I can stay on my target), does not seem worth it to me.
I am not sure how much damage Strength adds to our abilities, but I do not think it is 1 for 1.
If you only look at Obliterate, but you arent just spamming obliterate in that window. I dont care if it serves one weapon more than the other, its the overall outcome.
Oh look obliterate did more damage in my obliteration window, but DW had more damage with Frost Strike, Howling Blast, increased the damage of Obliterate and Frostscythe as well. More benefits to DW if you look at the bigger picture in that window.
Obliterate it the spell that gains significant damage in that window. It’s not rocket science that Obliteration increases the % of your damage that comes from Obliterate.

Regarding 2H Frost, you would never choose Razorice over RotFC for any reason. Absolutely never.
The new Haste runeforge is not too bad however.
you are only hitting 3 abilities during that window, and if 2H takes razorice too, it would be the difference that a strength proc might add, wouldn’t it?
PLUS whatever the difference is between 2H and DW on FS and HB and auto attacks.

I’m not sure what your point is? If DW and 2H both deal 100 dps with no talent, 2H will deal more if both specs into Obliteration.
So then 2h is better than DW?
Seems like the more damage that obliterate does the more this will be likely.
The % damage increase gain that 2H gets from Obliteration is greater than what DW gains.
