Might of the Frozen Wastes is back

Yes, it will increase the amount of KM procs over the course of the fight because 2h doesnt work well with frost.

Not to me, I want to have a stronger pvp burst window, and if 2H obliteration gives me that, I am all over it. All I am asking is for 2H to be as good or better than DW, and for obliteration, I think it will be.

I never took BoS because it is so heavily nerfed in PvP and icecap looks to be much weaker without being propped up by 3 x frostwhelps.

You’re so extremely biased. What’s your end-goal here?

I think the show is over.

Maybe they could just get rid of DW for a few expansions

Is it not true? 2h does not work well with Frost. The reason for them doing these changes is because 2h doesnt work well with frost.

Its an easy fix. Just Nerf KM procs for DW.

They buffed the change for 2h to proc KM… hmm I wonder why they did that.

DW should just get a 2 expansion break, that way we can get all the talents designed around 2H.

Just got hold of some 2H logs to check how KM works for it. KM proc rule for 2H looks like 70% chance to proc off first crit auto, 100% on second crit auto. Overall proc rate is 77% off crit autos. This translates into DW having ~80% more “natural” KM procs compared to 2H.

Before this recent change, DW had 177% more.

You finally see what the 2h community has to deal with, This snake of a human being cant comprehend that its rather quite simple to fix 2h and theyve already basically done it. they dont have any game XP so its easy for them to say wrong stuff. I mean at max obliterate gets a 20% buff, 10% buff from the legendary and dips into the mastery pool on killing machines which can be forced proced from obliteration and youre gonna tell me 2h doesnt have a place in the game? Theyre just toxic biceps you gotta ignore them like everyone else does

To be a troll. So basically every response by her in every thread.

This contributes nothing to the discussion. If you see a problem with the play-style, then feel free to propose solutions to fix those problems. Preaching about DW and bashing 2H is not helping the development process. Where is your evidence? What are your solutions? If you’re not providing either of those, then:

Does Might of the Frozen Wastes Rank 1 actually do anything or is it just stating how the class currently works?

That’s right.

Also, I think the point Kelliste has been attempting to make is that the Obliteration talent doesn’t just make Obliterate hit with KM, but you have to FS or HB in between and that the damage from that should be considered.

Unless you completely ignore Mastery for 2h, which seems unwise considering KM Rank 2 converts Obliterate to Frost, the FS and HB hits would only be 15% less if not running Razorice. But unless I’m mistaken, FS still hits like a wet noodle in Shadowlands, so it shouldn’t matter.

Well this thread is one quite heated and I feel like my post is just ignored. I see a lot of people are very enthusiastic about 2h Frost. I’ll give it a try myself when it launches.

I just hope having a missing runeforge for a 25% Obliterate increase isn’t much of a hinderance. Obliteration is indeed going to be a solid talent choice. I predict much like previous expansions, 2h and Obliteration just might fall off due to RotFC and Razorice multiplicative scaling that far overshadows the 25% damage increase on Obliterate later in the expansion.

Don’t worry, I’m much more compromising than Kelliste and be very open to be proven wrong as I just want to engage this conversation for the lot of Dks.

That is what we all hope, I think.

Obviously, a lot of people want 2H to work for them and a lot of people are happy that the devs are making changes with that intention.

Now we need to whack some training dummies and crunch some numbers and give feedback to help make DW and 2H both work.

That 25% is only the starting number, If blizzard feels its necessary to increase it they have the ability to. Besides when you really consider how obliteration works and all the wild increases to obliterate we’re getting, AT LEAST from a pvp standpoint I believe 2h will certainly have a viable place BECAUSE it would 100% be more bursty than duel wield could be. Thats at the very least.

I really think people are underestimating the scaling of that 25% from might, 20% from 52, Your entire mast pool AND -x% from armor being ignored since its now magic damage, and the 10-15% from the legendary. All these different sources just largely buffing obliterate still seems promising for 2h

That is my dream! I am curious how big that Obliteration window can get.
