'Midnight' - Major City: How would you feel, if

In the next expansion ‘Midnight’ — How would you feel, if much to manys surprise — If Silvermoon was significantly updated - yet remained a Horde city & their prime bastion for the expansion …

Whilst the Alliance were actually given Stratholme as a now successfully restored holy-city by the combined efforts of the Argent Crusade and the Silver Hand, on the edge of the other side of Quel’Thalas – to act as their prime city for the expansion?

  • Now that’s not to say that at some point in the expansion, the two factions could perhaps have a questline to allow their opposing faction to eventually walk amongst these respective cities under skeptic trust & monitoring.

Anyway!

I thought this could be a fun discussion to have, both in correlation to game play; lore and content progression — How would YOU feel about such concepts?

It really is the elekk in the room and I keep hoping every expansion they update this :point_up_2: part of the map. With skyriding now, it’s even more glaring.

I think that it would be really cool to see something done with stratholme and the plague lands.

I but I think that silvermoon becoming a neutral city makes the most sense for the high elve tribes (sindorei, rendorei, and the remnants of the high elves)

Or maybe just a neutral city based on race if blizzard can pull that off in their spaghetti code.

I would say that that’s an unfair trade. You get amazing city, we get boring military base. Make it Gilneas and I could be persuaded maybe. Humans are boring as heck. I know Worgen are basically just the fuzzy version, but at least they are more interesting for a combination of that and their architecture. They also have close ties with the Night Elves, so it could make sense for a staging point for an elf expansion.

Would love to see an updated Silvermoon, though. I used to main Horde and loved the Nightborne and the Blood Elves. I only switched to Alliance because I couldn’t take every single new thing I quested in looking like a Orc base. :frowning:

I think framing all new content within the context of what horde get and what alliance get and blizzard needing to balance the two like two petulant children bickering has been the source of some pretty mid content over the course of wows history.

Yeh, I kinda like them just giving us one, well designed hub city. It is neat seeing everyone in one place, too.

I don’t want to be in a stinky elf city where everything is sticky and you don’t want to know why it’s sticky.

you know you want to.

I’d be fine with that. Be a neat bit of world building and I’d be excited to see how we lost Stratholme later in the Expansion.

Cause I imagine we wouldn’t have a major city like that so close to Silvermoon by the end and that alone could be really neat. >.> (Also imagine how awesome it would be to watch the Void take over Stratholme with it falling a second time.)

Only if we find out the Draenei scrapped the Vindicaar and rebuilt the Exodar into a mobile, flying city.

Horde, Alliance… outdated.

Restored Stratholme? That would be kind of boss… But I’m really sketchy about overwriting the old world. Cata did more than enough of that…

 Having a portal network to Gilneas as Stratholme’s prime ‘Reinforcements’ city would be cool – Update Gilneas into a full fledged city with vendors, mog etc all around; with Stratholme holding the Catalyste forge, gear upgrade & quest-progression points for the ‘Midnight’ expansion

:smirk: I could see it — If throughout the expansion (or towards the end of such) they finally managed to restore Ban’dinorielThe Gatekeeper

Totally understandable, I could see it being quite dangerous and slippery for someone with hooves

Oh that would be fun!

Restore the Runestones, restore the Second Gate. Just barely staving off some major attack after Stratholme falls or just before.

Draenei know exactly why it’s sticky, don’t play coy with me. :dracthyr_lulmao:

As long as Stormwind also becomes neutral, sure.

If it was just me, I’d personally prefer to see the faction divide continue to slowly fade in history.

Pretty sure we’re already getting a cross faction Elvin city with flying enabled.

The alliance can just have their beloved Ironforge for all I care and fly all the way up there if needed.

Stratholme belong to the Lordaeron people, and the Lordaeron people are the Forsaken.
