Method say Blizzard Do - A Mythic + Rant

So the difference between an easy 30 min a week effort and spending hundreds of hours, hundreds of wipes, for months is minor stat optimization/side grades/minimal upgrades?

That sounds more like an issue of bad gear coming from raids when compared to mythic plus. If anything blizzard should boost the stats and effects from raids to make them the best gear all around. Mythic plus can remain good but not the best.

Item level is stat budget. Any item with normal stats only is governed by item level for total stats.

And to be honest, any time Blizz deviates from flat stats like CoS gear a lot of players dont like it.

Whatā€™s out of context? You said this:

And you admit itā€™s not true, that your belief is predicated on something different than Blizzard telling us which is contradictory to what you said in your OP on the topic.

Then you went on a tangent about history (even though theyā€™ve done exactly this thing last season) and said the following:

When called on it you backpedaled to ā€˜but history!ā€™ even though Season 2 rewards functioned exactly the same as it looks like season 3 rewards are going to. So history doesnā€™t support your position. Your claim that Blizzard told us they were reducing the ilvl of weekly chest rewards is a lie. You even admit you donā€™t know and weā€™ll find out in a week (actually that would be 2 weeks as the season 3 weekly chest reward wonā€™t come until after the first week of season 3 which doesnā€™t even start until next Tuesday). You just have this habit of either providing misinformation, intentionally or not, or just being objectively wrong. Itā€™s kinda funny.

I do not think its outside their power. They have the metrics to see what trinkets are in high demand and why. All they need to do is apply the success of those trinkets to raids and it should solve the issue of mythic plus giving better trinkets than raids.

Yes. And getting there 3-5 months ahead of the people who do it via M+ farming alone. Itā€™s funny how 3 ilvl average from forging across all my characters is a big deal to mythic raiders who complain about forging but having a 5 ilvl average increase over M+ runners is a ā€œminimal upgradeā€. Itā€™s almost like they spin it depending upon what theyā€™re arguing about, hehe.

Coming from a raider, Mythic+ is having the same issue people whoe like PvP have. Raiders whine, screech and howl about any other piece of contentā€™s rewards until it gets nerfed.

Now I will say that a +10 may have been too low for a 410+ piece. If your 400~ rn you can +2 a +10 with your eyes closed really. I would like to see a heroic chest at +10 and a mythic chest at say +15 and if you +2 or higher a +15 you get 2 pieces of gear. That would equal out with mythic raiders usually getting 2 pieces of gear a week from bosses.

What issue is this?

Unpopular opinion I guess : mythic is stupid bring back slower progression with. 2 tiersā€¦ Normal and heroic 10/25

With no catch up mechanics.

I see no problem with them lowering the ilvl. Clearing a Mythic + and killing a Mythic boss just arenā€™t on the same level of difficulty. Where I fault Blizzard is not creating cosmetics for clearing high keys.

Did you try the very next sentence?

It should be the same ilvl difference as now but perhaps a guaranteed socket or two on mythic gear. That would make mythic gear much better than anything on dungeons.

It highlights the playersā€™ lack of knowledge regarding gearing mechanics moreso than concerns with the system itself.

Itā€™s silly to compare a 414 to 416 across the board like that for a variety of reasons. Shaethos already listed a few of those reasons, but you can also add in how ilvl increases function.

A 414 is needs a 32 llvl increase to reach 416. The math is straightforward if people are having difficulty following: 16 gear slots requires a 16 ilvl increase in one slot for a 1 ilvl average rise.

In order for his 414 to even get there heā€™d have had to burn through enough dungeons to get relevant 410s from a weekly chest in every slot and then hit the lottery jackpot of 425s at least 4 times (4 more weeksā€¦a month of perfect titan forging in the relevant slot).

Of course thatā€™s ridiculous so how do we imagine heā€™s geared? Through the azurite vendor, of course. That makes it far more likely that heā€™s geared with 420s in three slots, 400/410s in other slots, and hasnā€™t hit any, or any relevant, titan-forged pieces at all. Thatā€™s after months of M+ runs and weekly drops, which hardly seems inappropriate given that heā€™s still a full 2 ilvls below his mythic raider.

It looks like theyā€™re close, but in practice he still needs to convert a few of those pieces into relevant 425s before he reaches 416. Thatā€™s not insignificant and itā€™s disingenuous to post it like it is in the way that he did. Thereā€™s really no excuse for it since he has both a 414 and a 416 and knows the difference it was to gear the 416 over the 414. The 414 is probably the alt, which is why it is relegated to the M+ instead of Mythic raids content tier and also why itā€™s not on equal footing with the main druid.

Yea, I read that. Are you referring to casual BG rewards? They are fine, and how it should be.

Welcome to the club, PvPers are still getting shafted with gearing. Back to farming raids for BiS gear I guess.

No? The fact that you need to be 2400 to get mythic level gear (415) despite being ranked at 2400+ (the highest rating bracket) is much harder than downing a mythic boss. Especially the first half of mythic which unironically on itā€™s loot table has at least 1 piece for ever slot between the 4 bosses.

Thank you.

Glad to see someone can extrapolate that all ilvl is not created equal.

How would you know? You donā€™t do either.

My healing set is 416 and ive done basically nothing.

Just stop.

How many cosmetics do people need. Goodness
