Sadly, what I am seeing so far in my exploration of ER is that according to most of the veteran population, there is not a single good thing about Earthen Ring that any of you can think of to share.
Uh, yeah… Thats because the good things about the server were brought here by the population that is now gone… It’s pretty elementary…

Agreed. I think that if this guy talked to most of the old guard players on ER he’d find that he’s in the minority opinion on a server connection.

Like the Harbor Market, story nights, holiday celebrations, Sunday Service, server wide roleplay events, the list is endless.
I’m inclined to agree.
Absolutely. The WoW forums as a whole are quieter than they ever have been thanks to Discord but the conversation is very much alive there. Server veterans like myself still love Earthen Ring and everything it has to offer, and asking for a merge isn’t saying we dislike the server in any capacity. We just want to see some life back in the world.

This “troll” FINALLY got some you veterans to address the positives about ER. It took a week but here we are.
8000 views of this thread alone. How many new players, good people, saw this as the first thread upon SL dropping and walked away?
If you want to rebuild a community, you might want to also maintain a positive thread on this forum about the joys of ER.
Think outside the merge box once in awhile. Be understanding of other points of view. Be inclusive on this forum and not so quick to judge.

To Blizzard: Transparency would be helpful on server merge criteria. We’ve gone through as many avenues to reach you as we could think of, and are using the ones we most recently have been directed to by your team.
I’m here for the people and guild I’ve GM’d for over ten years. I can’t mass transfer a long-standing guild without leaving people behind, and that’s a no-go. We are not here because we want a quiet server, we are here to keep from being separated and have made the best of it within our small community. I’m grateful for the peace, communication, and lack of drama among remaining roleplayers and guilds because folks engage with one another in good faith, but also hope to be connected to other small RP and other realms who have been in the same situation and are also holding out as we are.
There have been iterations through the years, there was an ER roleplay Discord that was decently active but the admin of it transferred off realm. Currently, the ER Discord scene is basically a network of guild Discords where allies hang out in to communicate, no main hub.

This would be nice. I would love to open my guild again and get some folks. Stopped advertising as they just always expire.
It’s really a bummer that BlizzConline couldn’t offer us anything but vague responses on future server merges. I was hoping for something. Hopefully they #mergeEarthenRing eventually.
