I played alliance for the last 10 years. I got triggered more by alliance in bgs then horde. This time around my friends and guild switched over to horde. I personally dont want merc mode. The way alliance act like they are special âcuzâ they are the minority its far from the truth. Alliance are full of carebears that have zero interest in pvp. Unless there is some type of item attached to it that will make PvE easier for them.
Im leveling my alliance gnome mage (lv64 so far) so when I want to bg I can just log on and queue up. I might just turn my horde toon into a raid logger. Unless the queues turn out to at least prepatch numbers.
What I wouldnt give for a HvH bg experience and see alliance go up in tears.
This is literally the exact same issue as the tank problem. Playing Horde is the carefree joy of playing a DPS. Likewise, it has certain tradeoffs. Deal.

If mercenary mode becomes a thing, Alliance will be even more dead. A lot of people, me and the group I play with included, would probably reroll Horde then. Why? Way more Horde in world pvp AND faster queues on top of it? Playing Horde would then have no disadvantages.

I donât think merc mode is good for the game or the right solution. The queue times and honor gains do need to be addressed though. I think reducing honor gear cost, increasing honor gains, or opening up faction transfers are all better for the game than simply enabling merc mode (which may or may not actually have an impact on queue times).

I mean you went to the restaurant and stood in the hour line, while I went to the restaurant with a 5min line.
You could get in the shorter line if you wanted, but you would rather stand in the one hour line and complain that the other line is moving faster.

Youre mistaken because providing Mercenary mode would solve all these problems and change nothing in the game.
Frankly Alliance players for all their complaints about BG are being remarkably ignorant and seem to be just taking pleasure in all this.
I play PvE server so I have no inconvenience. If youâre having trouble with long queues you are free to do so though.
Mercenary mode will make this game a 1 faction game.
Go look at retail for proof.

The dominant faction has a trade off. deal with it or reroll

Youâre acting like there arenât plenty of Alliance-dominated servers. The Horde there not only get trashed in the open world but with queues too. But you donât care about them, do you? Youâre the only victim here.

6 are ally favored.

You chose a PVP sserver, you own the consequences.
Battlegorunds are supposed to be for everyone and hence why Merc mode is the right answer
