Why is this in the game again? They got rid of the ridiculous racial imbalance WoD had. Can we just go back to factions being factions in pvp? It’s boring and lacks Faction Representation when all the players from horde just queue alliance just because they get 30% more honor rewards, and instant queue. It’s boring, and now that essences are in the game its making all the 9/9m and 2800 players just queue as alliance for an easy honor farm. Kind of lame :\

Merc only shows up when queue times are extremely unbalanced, so it serves a purpose.

Because its awesome? I hate being in queue for a long time. I always play on the faction which has low queue time. It also means queueing on faction which loses 51 to 53% of the games. In WoD for the few months i played i had to level horde toons to be able to do randoms. But now if the imbalance switches back to alliance next expac i wont need to do that.

I mean, I don’t mind it. Sometimes it’s nice to be a Gnome.
(That and when Horde lose 5 BGs straight and then I get two wins as Ally AND rage whispers from a Mage of all classes from my own faction, it adds a level of enjoyment)

Alliance upset when they lose 55 percent of BG’s, Alliance upset when they win 55 percent of BG’s ( since 8.2 thanks to all the mythic horde mercing) … just take the wins !!

I just don’t like the favoratism for the fotm populist faction. Who cares about wins/losses.
They created merc mode during wod in response to complaints about Alliance queuetimes. I merc’ed on Alliance during wod.
Changes in Legion shifted the pvp population. Now horde is the majority of those queuing, and thus merc mode is usually up for horde.
It’s really that simple.

I did, and I’m pretty sure it went back to being Horde dominated after they nerfed the Alliance racials.

Merc mode is horrible for faction balance and does nothing but cater to the Easy Mode Horde.
Lol of course you think mercs are great, you’re Horde. You don’t have to deal with mercs coming in and saying "Alliance sucks this is over, let them three cap,"after the first engagement.

If what was me? I’m not “mad”, I just have to laugh at any Horde players trying to justify Merc mode.
After losing with you, those same people queue for Horde and say “Horde sucks let them 3 cap”. You seem to have your mind made up, but I promise it happens.
In an ideal world this wouldn’t be an issue, but unless they did away with factions entirely (beyond simply mixing them), this will be an issue.
I am sure if the roles were reversed and alliance could queue horde people wouldn’t be saying remove merc mode XD

It’s much different at prime time with mercs. I barely have run into it at all, other than primetime games. Since 8.2 it has been horrible.
Sure people suck, but Mercs are really really bad. And why wouldn’t they be? They have no friends to make on Alliance, the people they are arguing with are literally their enemies.
