Better make your own guild to make sure of that! Youâll be very disappointed come raid time when you donât have the perfect raid setup in someone elses guild 
Does this include troll compositions? I mean are you going to optimize your raid for each encounter? Trade out a lock for another mage on 1 fight then switch back for another? If the data shows a most efficient raid comp is that what you adhere to 100% of the time?

Choosing and championing a meme spec may turn out to be like deciding to sport a pink mohawk irl.
You shouldnât literally be hated for it, but you go in understanding it puts you in a narrower category than the general population. No big deal, but if you go overboard making it your singular point of identity, you shouldnât be surprised at pushback.

You make it out as though taking one of these specs will result in a raid not being cleared? If youâre not clearing a raid the players need improvement.
likewise, you better make your own to make sure everybody agrees you can goof off while they try and clear content

You assume I play any of these mentioned specs.
Iâve raided with these specs in Vanilla just as successfully all the time. If youâre a good Ret paladin or Enhance sham who doesnât stand in the fire constantly, youâre a better choice than the rogue or mage who dies every encounter.
Every time you post, you manage to make me cringe.

If you really want to check the viability of a meme spec, go make a raid full of âmemeâ specâd players and let me know how far along you make it. It will be a total gold sink to be able to pull off numbers that will needed in later content.

The problem here is that forcibg them to heal and nothing else just forces players to reroll as pure dps. Encouraging them to heal some fights and dps the rest will work better.

you can be the best troll spec and better than the worst people who are just playing to minmax, but thereâs still dozens of people also trying who donât stand in fire every encounter for me to pick from before iâd ever get to picking you
So at the end of the day, if your best friend (not sure if you have any at this point so this is purely hypothetical) wanted to raid with you in your guild as the only spec he enjoys which is a Ret pally, you would deny him an invite and tell him he must heal if he wants to raid with you.
Keep in mind this is a game little Nub. Most of us here play for fun, not min/maxing.

A ret paladin in full vanilla bis will still do less damage than a warrior or rogue in full prebis. So there is thatâŠ

I raid to be successful as a group, if someone is so selfish they wonât sacrifice for the group than I donât want to raid with them. Most if not all of the people I have played with since 2005 that were into min/maxing, did so because it was fun for them. Fun is subjective.
Fun for me is doing the best I can with other players who are also doing the best they can.
Also laughing at ret paladins is fun for me.

Min/max is literally built right into the game. From day 1. It is present. You canât get thru a piece of content. What do you do? Start assessing what is holding you up. Do i need more damage or more survivability? Should I go full glass cannon or should I just try to survive the encounter and beat it thru longevity?
Now when you start seeing it on a group level such as a 40 man raid. You may need that extra stam or that extra 50 dps.
It mostly depends on the group.
People will find groups.
Idc what spec you play. You canât be just any geek off the street. Gotta be handy with the steel if you know what I mean. Earn your keep!
Personally id like to see a raid guild of all âmeme specsâ. Thatâs a real iron raider challenge. Lol
