Ogres would be a pretty sweet addition to the horde!
The Ogres have my support. They might be a bit big, but you could always scale them down a bit
Not really a fan. Unless they get rogues. Then yes!. I want a Dagg
I never understood the logic of why Blizzard didnāt add in ogres in the first place. If I remember correctly, they said that they were going to but they were too big.
Yet they made some ogres about the size of humans and others the size of buildings. Very confusing.
Iād love for ogres to become an allied rwce or core race. No real reason they shouldnāt be already.
They had the choice of goblins or ogres in Cata, and went with goblins due to their history with the Horde and because theyād be visually standouts among the Horde in being the short race.
As much as I like ogres, it was the right decision at the time as goblins are, well, goblins.
I donāt know, it seems a little bit odd for Ogres to just go Alliance. They seem more like Neutral race material like Pandas.
I thought they had plans on adding them in vanilla, but didnāt because they were too big?
I would definitely love to see playable Ogres! You have my support!
Iāve always wanted ogresā¦ rogues in particular. Iāve been playing KulāTirans quite a bit and I love them. Given how rude alliance have been about them they should have been a pirate splinter faction for the horde. But failing that, Iāll take the ogres now thanks. Something large that doesnāt moo. Itās time.
Would rather have moknathal led by rexxar.
If youāre going with ogre, give them two heads and Make their racial the ability to equip two helmet items.
Iāve always desired ogres, and honestly am astonished they have never been added. I will always support this over any new elf any day.
That and it would be nice to see a new bestial race or two.
An ogre in a bikini mog? Just imagining it makes my eyes hurt.
Although, the artwork and other things that would go into making armor appearances work on them Iām sure is prohibitive.
Well, today is the last day of September, which means we have October to go through, where Blizzcon starts on November 1st. (32 days from the time of this post)
Generally speaking, Iām cautious about Blizzcon, considering how last yearās went. While I want to hope that this yearās Blizzcon will be great and have good announcements, especially since many of us are expecting the next expansion to be announced, Iām tempering expectations and trying not to get too excited. Really, the main thing to keep me happy would be an announcement of new playable races, whatever they are and either allied or core.
In terms of Ogres specificallyā¦well, I want to hope at the very least weād see the Stonemaul Clan having a presence of some sort in the story that could lead to them finally being playable. Not as a starring role per se, but helping out even as grunts in what is likely leading up to a āThe world is in danger!..again! No really! For realz this time!ā situation.
There is also Sylvanas to consider, since she has pretty much left the Horde. Rumors of a Thunderbluff attack lead me to post earlier about how the Stonemaul in Feralas and Dustwallow are close enough that they could come and assist. Even if that doesnāt happen, it would be nice to see the Stonemaul Clan utilized for once to help out.
Despite my hope, I feel like Ogres may be ignored again, likely sleeping somewhere while the Horde, let alone the world, is in dangerā¦again. Still, if weāre celebrating 15 years of WoW, finally announcing Ogres as a playable Horde race would be a great throwback, seeing as the Stonemaul Clan in particular had a presence in the Horde since Warcraft III.
Anyway, whatever happens, Iāll always support playable Ogres for the Horde. Hopefully, weāll see that happen sooner or laterā¦preferably sooner. <- <
+1
We
need
this
Iām for playable Ogres for the Horde although i think they should be from the prime universe/Outland. Maybe it would be a fairly small group similar to how Darkspear and Zandalari trolls are part of the Horde but the rest are not. This way you can include some ogres who fought in the Old Horde and maybe even some of Gulādanās ogre mages.
Iād rather have em as a New Race rather than downgrading them as an Allied race, new models, new bone structure with itās own unique animations and their own unique racial mount thatās only endemic to their continent.
So a couple of small things with recent news.
First of all, it looks like some Death Knight assets were datamined recently for allied races, implying that weāll likely see that class option for allied races in the future. What this could possibly mean is that Ogres, if they ever become playable, could potentially have the Death Knight class in the future. You can read more about it and see the assets mentioned here:
The other bit of news is that with Sylvanas leaving the Horde, it looks like they may go the way of democracy and have a council of sorts. I assume that this would consist of a representative of all the races within the Horde, though I suspect the Horde may once again forget that the Stonemaul Clan is part of the Horde, sadly. Still, it would be good to see Tharg have a seat at the table to represent the Stonemaul Clanā¦even if it would be sitting on the floor in front of said table.
You can read more about the Horde council here:
Iām thinking it was a good thing I delayed my āMarch of the Stonemaulā event, as itāll be much easier and will make more sense to do it with a more friendly leadership than Sylvanas. Hopefully Iāll get around to planning it again. ā <;
So far, I havenāt really seen anything Ogre specific in 8.3 datamining, but if by some Winterās Veil miracle Horde Ogres play some role in that patch or make some appearance at Blizzcon, I will be sure to talk about it.
It would be great if one of them just showed up and thatās how the ball got rolling to be an Allied Race.
Maybe make comments on the PTR that ALL Horde Races should be shown.
Aside from Ogres, this would also include Taunka and Hozen, any currently not-playable race Iām forgetting that is already part of the Horde, as well as any other future core or allied races that join the Horde. That is going to be one full table, but I would love to see what the whole council would look like if Blizzard takes into account all the races in the Horde.
Sanālaynā¦? <.<
Hozen would just hang from the ceiling. Even if they where told to sit down.
