That would fall under the “future core or allied race” part, so if they become official members of the Horde, they should get a seat at the council. I’m hoping we see them playable, myself.
That would be very fitting. I’m sure the Hozen representative can fulfill their duties by just hanging around. :V
And as I said before, Tharg can just sit on the floor in front of the table to represent the Stonemaul Clan. Again, a fitting sight that adds character.
Horde will never get ogres and Alliance will never get high elves, despite the fact both of them make much more sense than anything else we have gotten in quite some time, because Blizzard just like to troll at this point.
I’ve been wanting ogres since I first heard of WoW (back before beta), as they were always my favorite in the RTS games. It’s unbelievable that they haven’t been added yet - there are like three ogre clans now fully in the Horde, yet we can’t play them.
But fox people we’ve never heard of until this xpac are suddenly in the Horde and playable…so frustrating.
Dunno if its been said but i just found a place on wowpedia called Ogrezonia when i was checking up on Dragon Isles and Ny’loatha, its apparenly based of Amazonia and obviously full of Female Ogres who have developed a cultural and religious view against Males using them for breeding and sacrificial rituals only.
The Horde managed to make the Darkspear give up similar practices so wouldn’t be a stretch to say they couldn’t either.
Indeed, I’ve talked about this awhile back in this post with some of the in-game mentions of it.
I am still unsure if Ogrezonia would come into play at all regarding female Ogres, playable and NPC-related. I am still of the opinion that female Ogres appearing out of nowhere without explanation, as has happened with other races, is more likely. If anything, some brief flavor text might mention Ogrezonia and how the female Ogres came from there for…reasons. I don’t expect to see much come from it, otherwise.
That said, I appreciate the mentioning of it. I’m always on the lookout for more Ogre things to research.
Honestly the Stonemaul group from Dire Maul is the obvious option, not Draenor and such. Reason being is they’re in the north side of Dustwallow, right by the starting zones. It would take minimal effort to create a path up the cliffside to Durotar from their village. From there you can get to Orgrimmar, and you can level up in whatever starting zone tickles your fancy.
OP, Nice Thread! I made a Youtube video titled: Ogres WILL Join the Horde as an Allied Race where I go into detail about how they can and should join! I don’t want to post the link, but my channel is Keeper of Lore! Check it out and see if there is any info you would add to the sticky
It’s cool to see you post here. I actually referenced your video a few times in this thread and a few other threads on the forum. I wish I had the ability to make videos, myself.
yes that is me - still prayin for ogres and grinding classic WoW. haven’t made content in awhile since im not playing retail and I run a stock trading group which is already keeping me busy:/
