I’m not out here trying to get races you like changed into something completely different to fit my personal tastes despite my tastes already being heavily catered to.
love belf male casting animations. i usually roll healers, like pallies and priests, typically, and they have a nice heal casting animation. my daughter in law also plays and she really likes human male casting animations. i tried it to see if i’d like it but still prefer belf
But male blood elf? Thats borderline a female character anyway.
not trying to get it changed. just didnt see any female ogres in op and had been thinking about how to get the horde ogres and the alliance, high elves, if blizz did a classic+. cause horde players worry that if classic+ came out and horde didnt get belfs, that their population would be suffering like alliance is right now.
so i got busy and started working on a possible solution where horde could still get ogres that worked as well as belfs did. would require paladins still. but the argument is that keeping shaman specific to horde and pallies specific to alliance, might actually be a good thing for classic+.
anyway when i saw this thread, i thought i’d share my idea
What are you even talking about? The whole thing with Ogres is they don’t need ‘a solution’, they just need playable models and a little story of why they’re becoming playable after being in the Horde for such a long time.
WoD would have been the easiest time ever to introduce ogres as friends of the horde… what a missed opportunity.

I mean, the Gorian Empire can still join. The Iron Horde has essentially been absorbed into the Horde and they were their closest allies.

Also there’s a few art conceptions for female ogres.
was just explaining why i posted my idea in the thread. or why i even had the idea in the first place. was working on that pivotal moment at the end of vanilla, when it transits into tbc but instead of doing that in classic+, it would have horizontal development like karazhan crypts, emerald dream and dragon isles, and instead of belves on horde, it would be ogres, and alliance would get helves. to solve the population problem, the issue of the pretty race vacancy, i came up with the idea of a pretty female ogre.
Man I’m actually pretty mad and sad right now. I thought we got more Ogre support, but then come to find out it’s just more Helfers highjacking threads that have nothing to do with Helfs.
Ogre women can be attractive, or unattractive, or they could be the only race that doesn’t have females. Korean MMOs LOVE doing that kind of thing, little loli female only cat girls or whatever (Tera), and Bunny girls only (FFXIV), but they also make male only races too… I’m just saying. It could be a thing.
But why? Female Ogres exist,it’s not really a big deal. We know what they look like.
True, they could just keep females out of the picture, but I think most people would like to see a female counterpart. I’d probably have a female ogre or two in my arsenal of 50 ogres.

What do you mean “But why?” I think you’re missing the point.
Blizzard has said they basically won’t do Ogres because they don’t have a good idea of what a female Ogre would look like and then they threw out 1 or 2 pictures they weren’t completely satisfied with. They don’t have actual in game models last I checked, and that’s the biggest hurtle.
The thing being, even if they DO exist, if Blizzard doesn’t want to model them, they don’t have to. it’s OKAY to have a race with just 1 gender, other games do it all the time, and another race of only 1 gender could also be introduce if so desired.
I’m just saying I don’t think female playable Ogres should be a blockade to getting Ogres.

make them beautiful but so disagreeable only an ogre could love 'em
and that right there is why i posted the idea in the thread. woulda just kept it for the classic+ idea but if you want playable ogres now, its a possible solution. not that you have a shortage of pretty females now. but if they are having troubles designing one that they would actually like, perhaps if they started working on lore options first, since they know they can retcon
