Maybe M+ Leaving wouldn't feel as bad

Nobody will stay for repeat, trust.
Only forum theoretics thinking thatsomeone is going to farm M+ non stop this way,
people wont.
M+ if very exhausting, maybe like 10 people in the whole NA region would farm like maniacs, therest of the people taking timeouts even in good pugs between dungeons.

Challenge modes say otherwise.

Solo challenge modes,
its absolutely different from coop.

I am 1000% right that only smallest portion of the playerbase would grind till they are exhausted, the rest wont.

Its the same with titan forging,
only Faux and their frends had to grind non stop without eating or sleeping,
the rest of people were just, oh ok.

I’m talking MOP challenge modes where groups did hyper risky pulls, and reset if it didn’t work out.

I dont know what they are.
But I know that even in nice going pugs, this is the pattern in 100% of cases:

  • no more than 2 or 3 dungeons
  • always pauses between
  • never continue next day

keys must be removed, absolutely.

And if players become friends, are they pugs anymore?

your premade is not pugs

So, pugs do continue the next day… they just become friends.

no they dont
I did some puging with people I friended, but it happens rarely

and its strawmaning again, it happens extremely rarely

Because you don’t try?

Well, it happens a lot more if people make a concerted effort to do so…

no, on average, its almost never happening

People who don’t try to socialize don’t have a social experience… is that shocking?

Strawmanstrasza
I am telling you that it wont be a problem.
Nobody (except your premade) is going to reset dungon after first 2 packs non stop, trust.
BUT if someone is willing to do that, more power to them.

Barring RL aggro like my family, My wireless connection acting like something from 1997, and tiny werewolves attacking my wrists with carpal tunnel…

Call me crazy and this is a bad example whatever, here’s my 45 cents idea. BTW it is optional, but a layer of insurance if you will

Starcraft II had a Proving ground esque ladder climb BEFORE you could join. I think WoD had something similar. But it need not be a LFG. We have the follower dungeon now. We have the Ringing deeps proving ground. Require people to be gold in those things. You could be gold in healing, but bronze in tank. You can only roll as healing.

Old Starcraft showed players with latency bars. You wouldn’t keep players who were red.

Much like PvP, the game needs to read your gear to see that it meets an ilvl requirement AND the gear matches the role. This avoids me accidentally showing up in my tank gear when I wanted to DPS.

Set your mythic plus run to require certain addons.

Take these things and put into your custom mythic plus.

  1. Select what realms you want players to not come from/or to come from.
  2. Proving ground gold for the role
  3. Follower dungeon passed the role and showed percent of essential things like interrupts
  4. Calculated your DPS in that dungeon
  5. These addons are required to join my game.
  6. Gear checker that analyzes appropriate spec/role and their wearing BiS (currently in inventory) because I made the mistake of switching something to earn transmog and forgot to re-equip
  7. List your dungeon as Guild invitees or “only from these guilds”
  8. Current or certain key requirement to join. “I have done a +5 so now I can apply to other +5s.”
    8A: Only KSMs
  9. Base game graphics set to X
  10. X number of mythic plus runs completed
  11. Enabled Dynamic flight/skyriding
  12. I’m a Deathbringer DK not a RoTA
  13. Just questing
  14. Timing the key pushing +1 +2 +3

Besides “no death knight” add others like no hunters, no shamans, so if people only want the META classes, only they can apply.

Put in a map rotation. You have GB + Dawn + SoB + Stonevault (because you’re in 4 person guild and needed that 5th as a PUG. So players know what you’re playing next.

I mean, if you’re going to have to wait forever anyway, let the sorting take place before these people enter your group. They have to meet requirements like anything else.

These were rules we played by for games 20 years ago. Server side rules. Like if my ping ever skyrocketed to 400 or something, I was kicked.

Aint happening, period.
Because I play with no addons.
Unless you want to destory pugging.

This is stupid, there’s no foolproof method to ensure that people are able to do the content. And if they could do the content, they would’ve already done it.

If you don’t want to fail, impose a restriction on yourself by inviting only people who have already succeeded.

There’s no need for Blizzard to prevent players from grouping together in a premade group because you think they aren’t good enough.

Optional, my friend. Nothing is mandatory here. If anything it will just sort those groups out from your view.

I wasn’t a huge RIO person, but now its integrated into the game. The whole idea is to find the closest match to your liking and that you fit the bill

It wont be optional on day 2,
everyone would want weak aura.
Trust.

Unless weakaura removed from the game, then its fine.

The threat of failure can be a powerful motivator for people and teams to do better and give a run they’re all to try and time it, let alone complete it.

If the key didn’t deplete, and we had the ability from a drop-down menu (like Delves) one of two things (or both) could happen: 1) the “preferred” dungeon would probably be nerfed in someway 2) we’d see a return of weekly rota of affixes or some new mechanic that adds variability that matches the RNG that permeates the current M+ mechanic surrounding what keystone we get (on completion, depletion, vault loot procurement, or reroll)

None of that is inherently bad, and however Blizz wants to iterate on M+ is fine with me.

And I would add that even above 10 there’s a reward in the increased iO and attempting to reach the .1% for title.

Oh dear.

That’s… a lot of nonsense that I don’t want to put up with honestly.

… I’ll just stick to my friend and guildies asking me to run keys with them since they have really good tolerance with the current problem with M+.

Besides, isn’t M+ (numbers, statistics and participation wise) is rough right now? Do we really need to add all that stuff?

You did say optional though but remember RIO was once optional. People can REALLY get things twisted.
