This thing is utterly broken. I’m sorry, but any fight that is so ridiculously dependant solely on RNG and impossible for classes otherwise is a serious fail and needs tweaked for playability.
Blizzard needs to fix this immediately. Not every class has the interrupts needed to handle this, nor the self healing enough to handle. And if you don’t get enough self healing or dmg mitigation powers, you automatically fail the entire freaking Torghast run.
Well this boss is not entirly too easy but not hard as well. As a protection paladin with low ilevel I was able to beat him without using sotr and focused entirely on word of glory. Increase armor (sotr) had no impact in defeating this boss but entirly staying alive with healing. Best of luck folks.
maw of the maw needs a rework for melee literally stomps. i run out of interrupts and just get destroyed when i run out of abilities. if they are gonna have bosses do this they need to take some of these crappy torghast abilities out
I got lucky on Maw of the Maw and had 4 runecloth wrapping and fire juggler. My first crit invis fireball was almost half the bosses hp the rest of the fight was me kiting him and constantly interrupting with the knock up fire juggler has.
So there is was. Having an absolutely fantastic time running torgast, and loving every second of it, telling my friends on discord how much fun it is and trying to convince them to give wow another chance…And then i met Maw of the maw…worst boss i have ever seen. made me want to break things. and based on my reactions, my friends are not going to play wow with me… gg blizz, wasted an hour of my life and scared my friends away. please fix this horrible boss
edit:I finally managed to kill him as blood, Elethium diffuser is an absolute beast of an anima power, did almost half of my damage
Pretty stupid dps check boss, and I was as demon hunter vengeance (tank). Twice I died because tanks anything but dps. And then I just left the Mort’regar and probably my other attempts to go there (it was my first run in Mort’regar).
I think classes with self-healing have little trouble with this fight. 60k damage in 67 seconds is hard to live through without self-healing, but it’s reasonable for a class with heals.
I popped every I have CD and used two healing pots (one I brought, one I bought inside Torghast). I finally pulled out a Bloodlust pet. That’s what took me over the edge, but it was still very close.
Also, apparently, a stun will reset his stacks of something. I interrupted every time I could, but I didn’t use my stun.
I got “Maw of the Maw” the other day and used those blinding bombs. He never hit me once. I just interrupted and it went down easier than some of the other bosses.
