The Maw and Torghast bow are both are trash content. It’s over tuned bs with life sponges.
Didn’t have any problems other than taking longer to kill and have to fade whenever it was off cooldown.
I did it without a problem. Ghoul gave me way more trouble, but that was cause I didn’t pay attention to his movement mechanic.
It might get a lot easier with raid gear coming up.
Yeah. It is still overtuned compared to the other bosses at layer 3 though. Like Massively. I’m geared pretty well. Actually, I don’t think I can have a better item level this week.
I don’t remember the fight but I don’t recall having a huge amount of trouble with it on my enhancement shammy. But IIRC I got lucky with a anima and had the one where dropping a totem granted heroism and heroism granted ascendance.
I think being able to self-heal is priceless for this fight. He did ~60k damage to me during the fight, while I was doing 5.4k DPS. I used two healing pots, Spirit mend (before I swapped to a BL pet), two Gunk interrupts, and Exhilaration. It wasn’t enough.
Also, a stun at the right moment is supposed to reset stacks on the boss. I didn’t do that. There was not strategy on wowhead at the time, and I didn’t see the stacks.
Plus there is the RNG which is Anima powers.
Yep same here, I’m just shy of 170 as an Outlaw rogue and no matter what there is simply 0 way to stop the buff stacking or to solo this boss. Blizzard really needs to address if they really meant for Torghast to be soloable with bosses like this.
A guild friend and i barely managed to kill that thing, and i mean it, he died, the big guy appeared, and i was at like 10% before i managed to bring him down.
Had he killed me, he would have reset and would have been the end of the run.
As a rogue I basically got the maw rat deaths to give HP buffs, without that I would never have survived to keep stun locking and re-upping evasion on cd.
Stunlock on the uninterruptible casts and then kick the spew casts, and pot for extra dmg
Times like this make me happy i picked a druid not only is all the bosses easier i feel like if you get the right combo choices to pick you turn into a healer tank and a dps in 1 spec and can go from bear to boomy and heal forever
I saw a slime advertized so I built up a fantastic kiting build. Oops.
After of learning you can kick that ability, the ooze was easy.
When I did the ooze for the first time, I couldn’t figure out what was doing damage. Look back, and saw this eating armor, decided to kick it. It was kicked and I beated it a pulp.
This boss is cancer
you can also stun it too.
Yeah, after the first trial and error fight, it was easy afterwards
Yep.
tho tbh i only got lucky after killing the 2nd slime boss…
Very tough fight, manage to solo with Feral Druid. Less than 5% of my health left with all cool down used. I hate this boss fight.
I got it on a 156 BM hunter but used up all my deaths before getting it on the final attempt. I had a bunch of not entirely helpful anima powers. I was only able to do it due to potions, lust and a well-timed stun and had barely a sliver of life left. I think this is a clear indication that layer 3 is my limit.
Whelp… Torghast was fun while it lasted.
