Mary Sues, Self Inserts and Creator's Pets

Yea, again that’s what those guys at blizzard think, not me.

But the genocide was never going to be properly addressed anyway, they always swept it under the rug since they have wanted to redeem Sylvanas for a long time now.
I’d go as far as saying that blizz intentionally did this to the Night Elves because they don’t like the race.

They will totally do that, and continue ignoring the victims of genocide.

They should also not let a bunch of horny neckbeards decide what happens to Sylvanas, but instead make undead hitler pay for her crimes.
Write a story that makes sense, one that doesn’t glorify genocide.

Not a single chance that mary sue is going to die.

It doesn’t matter if blizzard says she isn’t evil. That a judgment that we as the readers of the story make.

She also didn’t burn the tree, and BfA was morally grey…

It kind of does matter if the ones who do the story say that sylvanas isn’t evil and that she won’t die

They didn’t say that Sylvanas doesn’t burn it, and I guess if you don’t like Night Elves (like those guys) they’ll say that Sylvanas isn’t evil or morally grey.

It’s totally her isn’t it knew she couldn’t stay away long

Something about this particularly bothers me. And to be fair, it could just be misspeaking (seems doubtful). Which is that one of the obvious reasons someone might not change their mind is because they still don’t buy the motivations presented.

He frames it as being obstinate either out of being closed minded or single minded. Without much room that their view might just be wrong. All the way back to when the discussed ‘the world is greys’ when the Alliance seemed pretty clean comparatively in Battle for Azeroth.

Did you mean me? Because if so, nice strike and miss.

Gonna be that warlock and say Blizzard doesn’t write more characters due to ego (or resources) than the community’s attention span.

I feel like it is a marketing thing. Like seeing key art of characters you’ve known for a while probably resonates a certain way with some. In the same way Games Workshop plasters Ultramarines as their poster boys.

Which is a shame in that some of their newer characters have been well received. Even some of their older side characters. That even when they are created, they sit in the back.

You forgot the Purge of Dalaran!

And you think Twitter won’t if they justify Teldrassil??

They’re going to get eaten alive no matter what they do to her. And I have no sympathy because they’re the ones who wrote themselves into that position.

You proved so much by having 1 level 10 character wow

So how am I going to prove it? You accused me of being some other forum poster and I showed you that I don’t have any characters on that realm

Honey your on a dead account, with no characters, posting nothing but troll stuff even if you arent her, it doesnt matter

Troll stuff? I just repeated what the devs said and even linked the stuff

I’m using this account to post because I’m not from US

people who post on dead accounts on level 10s opinions shouldnt matter, cause they are taking the extra step to hide themselves in a childrens video game fourms lol

I’m not hiding, I told you I don’t have max level characters on US.

The devs said that Sylvanas isn’t evil and that she won’t die, that’s not troll stuff it’s literally backed up with interviews etc.
Sure you can like that it’s this way because you like Sylvanas or whatever but don’t call it troll stuff lol

Everyone knows how bad writing this is and that it’s only like this because writers are simping for Sylvanas, but it ruins the story

  1. They said she wasn’t evil once, before BfA came out. After BfA came out, they said she was carrying out “evil plans.” So they have contradicted themselves on that point.

  2. They have never said she won’t die. The actual quote was this:

I could be wrong, I think the number of Sylvanas ride or die fans are really overestimated. Especially when the number of people that care about the story are already relatively small.

The second you tried to argue Jaina having an arc that changed based on new information as “flip flopping” the entire rest of your thread is moot.

Its not flip flopping, it’s developing as a character when new things happen.

Its ridiculous that this dumb argument is still happening.

Another reason to ignore your post is your comment about Varian. He didn’t just randomly “drink a potion,” there was literally a book where one of the two major plot points was about him coming to terms with his dual personalities and resolving it. And was brought up multiple times before this as actual plot points.
