I know there’s a talent you can take to do that, but that doesn’t stop world quests and other loot spec ignoring sources from dumping useless equipment on you.

They could literally change everything so that instead of summoning a random dumb bird, it summoned your number 1 slot pet instead with a glyph of the Lone Wolf that made it so you summoned nothing at all. This would solve much of the player agency issues, though it wouldn’t fix the utter loss of the spec’s solo ability.
MM was always seen as the sniper type spec in which a pet never really made sense.
And yet it has always had an option to use a pet, even when they tried to remove it before. Twice.

The loot wouldn’t be useless if DW Frost didn’t exist, thus no one-handers would be dropping at all.
How can you not see the frustration at seeing half of all the world quests rewarding weapons giving the wrong weapon even though you have your spec set to Blood?

You don’t see how that’s frustrating for such a niche thing that doesn’t have to exist? If all Frost DKs used 2 handers, then 2 handers would be the ONLY weapons a DK would ever see.

I wonder if it’s more about being able to be mobile and kite, like a mage might. I’m newer to hunter but my goodness this is definitely the most mobile ranged character I’ve ever tried!
Sure, I can “skip over the quest”, but world quests rewarding weapons are so very rare. It’s frustrating when you finally see one, and it offers a stupid weapon that only half of one spec uses.
That’s why most people just do delves, raids, or mythics.
That’s a coding issue , much like BM’s dire beast only summoning random zone types instead of stable pets. They aren’t going to put in the time to try and code something that complex as everyone has a different favorite type of pet. Not to mention some of the new spec is having the eagle circling above to find target weakness.
And every time players gave feedback about not liking it for one reason or another , didn’t change how the spec was supposed to be.
Can’t remember last time a delve ever dropped a weapon.
They don’t exactly fall out of the sky in there, either.
I suppose a simpler fix would be to just make World Quests respect loot spec settings, but here we are since Legion and they’ve still yet to fix this stupid crap.
We Already know you are lying by this, there is a significant DPS loss, you deal less damage, proc less stuff, the spec is slower and clunker than live, undertuned and filled with bugs
