Checking out the PTR not really liking it in open world
Been maning MM since WoD patch 6.2 and playing this toon since Cata. If being reduced to a support role instead of the hard hitting open world solo toon it has been since 2010
then maybe it is time to reconsider my role in supporting this game .
Maybe this is the push you can actually learn to get good at MM.
Its also been proven that time played doesnt mean anything considering how long you have played and how you arent aware of spec basics
You claim this is a balancing issue and affects group content. OK. HOW does it affect group content when what I am asking for literally has no function in group content, is never used in group content and is only used in solo play. What, specifically would need to be balanced?
This is me genuinely asking because I guess Im missing something here - can you give me an example?
Because what Im asking for only provides one single function - something to misdirect to in solo content. I dont see how this would impact any group content in any capacity.
Newsflash: iāve tried the new spec and I like the new spec without the tamed pet but with the eagle pet. I have no intention of changing my mind, and I also have no intention of supporting your point of view. Iām sorry you were bummed out that you canāt drag out some alpaca or whatever other critter it is you need to have by your side when playing marksman but Iām actually going to enjoy this. so thereās no sense in railing at me for the next five weeks because Iām not changing that position.
and just like I told the other person. Iām done arguing and defending my opinion. I offered my opinion. Iām sticking by my opinion. And in five weeks, Iām going to enjoy my opinion when it goes live. Not sure you think railing against me is going to make me somehow magically change my mind and side with the two of you. But it wonāt. Because when you have to balance around pet and LW you cant tune one too much because it makes the other broken. Even making the base damage before lonewolf higher would affect damage after lone wolf is applied. Its why this rework is also making it so MM can now do two target cleave when it couldnt previously.
I cant simplify it anymore than that. You dont need a pet in solo content. world content is literally braindead
Because itās fanatical to not just want a petless playstyle, but to want that petless playstyle forced on others. Pets can be made optional, but there are a group of players who are adamantly refusing any attempt at compromise.
Blizzard is the one making the design choice. Blizzard is the one implementing the design choice. I simply tried the design choice. I liked the design choice. If you think youāre being forced to do something then maybe you should vote with your wallet and stop paying them to pressure you into playing a spec you donāt wanna play. Just seems to me that you people are going to the extremes because one spec from one class is losing one pet and gaining another. itās a game. Itās a class. Itās not life and death. I didnāt do this to you, but I personally am going to go enjoy playing it regardless of your feelings or anyone elseās. Because it is my money and my choice to play this game.
Or I can give them feedback like the last several times they tried to take pets away from MM Hunters.
The spec that I like to play is losing itās pet utility. Which means if I want to continue using my pets, I have to use specs that I donāt like as much. Iām not sure what sort of diagrams I need to draw to make this understandable to others.
You lot are the ones acting like itās srs bsns if we keep our pets.

so go give them feedback lol nobody stopping you. Go start 100 threads. Send them an email. Call them on the 800-number. Talk to their customer service. Take a drive to California and go knock on their front door. Youāre acting like I have some means of stopping you. The only thing I have is an opinion which you seem highly offended by simply because I view things differently than you. I donāt hate the redesign. Iām going to enjoy the redesign. So how about you go pester somebody else someplace else who actually cares about your opinion because I donāt.
I think the issue is that there is a group of players that think any compromise means they will be forced to use a pet. Most of us that want to keep the pet still want those that, like you, enjoy the changes and going pet less to be able to do so.
Yes, the call is Blizzards, but we have been offering up our own feedback and ideas on how to keep the pet, yet not eliminate the choice to go pet less from others. What have we gotten from the loud mouthed members of the anti-pet side? (not you in particular)
That last one really sticks out for me, as I donāt think having a pet as MM held the spec back, what was holding it back was Blizzard was trying to balance MM DPS around lone wolf yet utility around the idea they could just summon a pet. The trick to balance MM hunters should be taking Lone Wolf provides the utility and the DPS increase without a pet, push the idea that MM should not be reliant on pets for anything but bare bones in solo/world content, and even then it is possible to go without.
see and I donāt care about keeping the pet. I also donāt care about compromise. Iām letting them design the spec and then Iām gonna play the spec. If you want compromise go create a compromise thread and tell them all about it.
Whatās funny is Iām just giving my opinion in reaction to your opinion and youāre the one offended by that.
Thatās because you keep coming back to me breaking down my conversation like it actually matters. Youāve expressed your opinion. Youāve told me you want compromise. You hate the idea of losing the pet. I understand your point of view is. The part youāre not grasping, I donāt care.
everybody is welcome to express their opinion myself included, but donāt be surprised when people donāt agree with your opinion myself included.
I think the thing that has everybody panicked is the fact that this thread is still unlocked and sitting in the PTR feedback while the other, please donāt take my pet away thread is not.
This is WoW, not LoTR. Archers have pets here.
I get the impression that either the forum gms are biased or it is one of those āMicrosoft can do no wrongā things like when complaining about bugs in the OS on Microsoft forums and the posts would vanish. That is why people went to Reddit to complain about MS being crap OS and telling people how to install Linux
I mean, technically we have an eagle but the point was thereās no wolf or alpaca or any other specifically tamed animal with special abilities that weāve named ourselves.
