Fantasy wise, youâre a hypocrite.
Mechanically, youâre short sited since all a pet for mm is just some utility and a second auto attack. Which LW can just get all that utility usable without a petâŚ

Well, Thrall showed us how to club someone with a crossbow so theres that i guess.
Another fun fact is that our projectiles can move straight through friendly targets and only injure hostile targets. Which makes me wonder which class would be the most troublesome to bring into a dungeon or raid if Blizzard turned on friendly fire.

Hunters would probably become solo players at that point. But a lot of melee classes would struggle with this too. As a DH my casual cleave would have me constantly damaging my teammates
Which is why I wish theyâd drop that part of the rework. To me itâs just salt in the wound. More visual clutter that I have no control over and just have to accept. lol

And to be clear, yes a spotting eagle is a coworker. They donât take battle instructions from you, they scope things out from a distance and let you handle stuff. Maybe they take a divebomb order occasionally

Blizzard can call it whatever they want because Iâm smart enough to look at something and see the truth for myself. A spotter eagle is not a pet and isnât a regular part of combat.

Blizzard also said MM were snipers in Vanilla and still gave them a pet. Blizzard lies and this is well known

Alright Simple Simon. Iâm not going to repeat other peoples points. Iâve answered your question about the eagle. And Iâve answered the question about the difference already.
This particular point isnât about in game mechanics.
Which of you wanna go that path, having mm choose a simple auto attacking pet is not a problem.
The problem was the utility attached to pets vs LW.
Which has much better fixes than a forced eagle that screwed both the pet crowd and petless crowd
Itâs not screwing either crowd. Hunters are proving their drama Queen right now with all these extremism responses to something not even in the game yet
