Marksman on the PTR - AMAZING CHANGE

but it didnt. you just can no longer summon a pet. intimidation got removed and replace with an eagle that flies in and stuns instead. double tap got added to rapid fire and a few other little minor odds and ends that got adjusted to the talents.

the point i am making is that everything is literally the same. the rotation is tic for tac same. you just can no longer summon a pet and i wouldnt call that a revemp or in blizzards words, “reimagined”

so what you’re saying is there was a redesign, even if it was minimal.

i wouldnt call removing the ability to call pet and baking in double tap a redesign. because the whole spec plays the same on live as it does on ptr. but you can think that.

i’ll make it simple for you. When you change the design of how something works regardless of what you add or remove that’s called a redesign.

Firstly, thank you. I was about to climb up something or someone if I had to like usual. This is a nice change.

Exactly why I like being MM, plus they fit who I am more than BM spells do.

I can understand this a bit, but at the same time it’s stuff like this that just makes me wish instead of getting rid of our pet we got to at least summon it cosmetically for traveling purposes. I’ve been told to just use battle pets but, unlike mages with elemental battle pets, I don’t exactly have a small red alpaca.

As much of a good idea as that is, I have difficulties imagining it. shrug

I’ve got several hunters, I like all the specs. I even have an MM who doesn’t use a pet at all. For that one, it fits. For me? Not so much, I like the company unlike that one.

As I mentioned before, I can handle not NEEDING my pet. I just wish we could have a little both worlds here. I’m not here to argue, just to speak my mind even if I am small and fluffy like my alpaca! Except… she is big. My hyena is smaller… but she bites. I bite too. Sometimes. I might have gotten distracted for a moment. nod

now your just grasping at straws cause you have nothing.

the whole point people are getting at with threads such as this is the fact that there was no need to remove the ability to call pet. so keep beating that path off to the side. nobody cares.

actually, what I have is this spec going live in five weeks. What I have is the actual dictionary definition of the word redesign. What I have is the ability to have a conversation without insulting other people. What you have is called desperation.

I don’t care if they had to sacrifice every pet in their stable to make marksman better. i’m looking forward to this change. i’m also done being nice to people who fail to be nice and simply discuss the topic.

There’s always a player’s choice. You either endure it or you log off.

just one of the many perks of voting with your wallet

and that is fine. people are just voicing their concerns on a public forum over a game and class / spec they are passionate about.

good for you. that is not the issue. people are voicing their concerns over the need to remove the call pet when it would have no impact of this so called “redesign”

quote where i insulted you.

nice try.

mm right now is better. did you see warcraft logs? not a pet in sight, and mm is dominating the charts. OH, and we can still summon it as an option.

keep diverting and derailing the point. forums are not for you.

everyone is welcome to express their opinion. Even me. And even the other people in this thread, who said they approve of the change who were not insulted or called the troll or asked about clown paintings. No need in defending my opinion when it’s only an opinion and when it’s gonna happen in five weeks.

The forums are not for a lot of people, particularly those who are emotionally unstable to the point where they will literally insult someone because of a tiny change to one spec of one class. now, if you would like to discuss the changes themselves, I would be glad to engage in that conversation. But if all you want to do is segment out my response and throw some lol’s in there, I’m not really interested.

elaborate please! what change? the ability to no longer call a pet, that they didnt use in the first place?

yea nothing changes for them. they say they dont use a pet now and when changes go live they will not use a pet then. so why the uproar? nothing changes for them. sounds like trolling to me. in fact that is the very definition of trolling. so keep it up.

I didnt like using pet tank as MM because my DPS would always pull threat.

Beast mastery is the only pet tank spec.

removing the pet and tweaking some of the abilities is allowing this marksman spec to actually pump out more DPS. At the end of the day damage per second means a lot when you’re in a big fight, especially one that involves an enrage timer.

but you dont need to remove the option to call a pet to do this.

please go to warcraft logs where all the top dps are MM HUNTERS RIGHT NOW WITH NO PET. yet the option to summon one is still there hurting nothing.

but keep trying to justify it. i will keep throwing proof and reasoning as my insults.

and if the pet is only cosmetic, maybe blizzard can make a glyph that allows you to enlarge a battle pet so you feel like you have company by your side while you’re playing marksman. But go ahead keep telling me how the pet is not important when it comes to damage.

Well since we’re pretending playstyle doesn’t matter, you already have 32 completely petless specs in the game to choose from. So you can just go play one of those instead and we can not delete one of the small number of pet options in the game.

thats not the issue players that are voicing their concerns are having. they like having their pet as an option to play in solo content for misdirection and as a tool. they dont like melee survival and they dont like how bm relies on that pet for all of its damage. they like being in control of their damage and having a utility such as a pet with them.

that is the issue people are having. sorry you cannot see or grasp this concept.
