That is precisely what youâre doing. Stop trying to sugar coat it. You could have posted in the PTR Hunter feedback thread if you wanted, but you specifically chose a thread where people wanted to keep their pets.

This is the third or fourth time this change has totally 100% been coming.
and I would imagine this time would probably be the one that sticks. And if it doesnât, then all of this crying and whining over the last month and a half has been for nothing and everybody that stomped their feet and climbed into their safe Space finally got their way again. On the other hand, Iâm enjoying the changes on the PTR and I will enjoy them when they go live. And if they donât go live oh well, Iâll go back to what I was doing before this all started.
Not gonna lie. Ive never seen a MM using a pet. If they are they are the kind of hunter wearing intellect gear and usually best avoided.
Since lone wolf, MM never uses pets except to pull out for lust in keys which is terrible. Most all I know that are die hard MM play it BECAUSE they dont want to deal with pets but want to play hunters.
Not sure where this sudden die hard MM with pets people are from but its clear they are not serious about the spec. Pets are for BM and SV.
MM is the solo archer.

And all youâve âenjoyedâ so far is hitting a target dummy for big numbers.
and I canât wait to take it into mythic plus and heroic raiding to see how it goes there as well. in fact, I think I will load back up into the PTR right now and go give it a try.
So itâll be great for a small fraction of the total population. Seems like a bad change to me. Time to go back to the drawing board and start over with an actual cohesive design.
same. i dont think any mm hunter uses a pet. but most dedicated players that play mm dont only raid and m+. raiding and m+ is the only 2 scenarios where not having your pet out is beneficial. i raid maybe 4-5 hours per week and m+ for about 6-8 hours per week for the 1st 6-8 weeks then i am gear capped. so that is only about 5-10% of my gametime on my hunter. everything else the pet is out.
if you do open world content to attain everything, or if you solo farm, or grind mobs, or do delves for achievements and play mm, you are using a pet, and if you dont then you dont know how to play mm efficiency and effectively. i can run into a delve 11 with my mm hunter with her pet and clear it in as little as 8-12 mins with my pet taking all the threat and damage, aiding me with kiting and misdirections. you will not play as efficient or effective as that with no pet.
yeah, well the only small faction of people here are the 18 complainers on this forum. The several hundred hunters in the discord that have been looking forward to this probably donât matter to you people. And of course, the other 5 to 7,000,000 people playing the game donât matter to you people either. They donât come to the forms to complain about innocuous crap like this. They just roll with the changes and try the new spec just like I did. Some of us have perspective.

Being removed to make the spec better, and ever since theyâve been given the opportunity to get rid of it, a large majority has chosen to do so.

Its cool. Was MM in SL during Denarhreus. Its fun and was the go to because people didnt want to deal with the horrible pet AI on Sire, that and it just kicked butt. Its the solo archer fantasy spec for Hunter.
Pets are for the pet spec or the spear and claw spec which Iâve been maining both this season and will be going back MM this next patch to raid.
SV still my go to M+ and BM is my solo content or elite delve killer and ST range for endless movement.
Got two of three with pets. The outrage over MM now losing a pet it hasnât seriously been using since lone wolf will clear up the point requirement for new stuff to iron out MM for the better.

I like being an archer, but not being solo. I can handle not NEEDING a pet, but the adventures will feel lonelier. I am no beast master, I simply want the traveling companion, why can we not just have that too?
I will not become a beast master just to have company mister giant Tauren! The abilities would not fit me at all!

I agree completely. I spent last night checking it out on the PTR and Iâm gonna go back in today and try it out in both mythic plus and a heroic raid if I can find groups for it just so I can test the numbers in real time. meanwhile, these folks are welcome to make another hundred threads yelling about the change thatâs coming in five weeks.
