It’s 1 thing to talk to people who play the same game. It’s another thing to comment on that game’s forums about changes posted 1 hr ago. You clearly play the game right now.
Yet im legit still 400 rating higher than you on 2 characters this season, on a less powerful spec than yours.
I saw you just updated your reply and I promise you this. I won’t be reading this. You did an effective job being hypocritical to every statement you made, and wasted 30min of my evening. Gonna cut my losses on my wasted time.
There’s no amount of “proof” you can offer minus vods of your glad/R1 pushes to convince me it wasn’t playing DH/Boom/X.

Sorry to hear that OP. People complained so much about aug that they decided to do away with in arenas similar to prot paladins. It’s really unfortunate.

I appreciate that and same to you. Its just disappointing, streamers didnt like Aug at release, and despite the spec being extinct in PvP all season, their viewers are still parroting the same thing the streamers said last season (When Aug still wasnt as good as Outlaw, Sub, Boomy, Ele, Lock).
That said I’m done again with posting on the forums unless participating in alphas/betas. I come here to share some thoughts, and always get attacked by the twitch stream viewers mentioned above.
Look at how aggressively everyone attacked me for saying it’s ironic they are buffing Preservation for being “Underutilized” meanwhile Aug has 1/28th the population of Preservation.

I know exactly what you mean. The r1s are basically aristocrats and they have legions of followers that parrot what they say.
I’m just going to say this…is being #1 Aug in a particular season or something super impressive if like, 1 person is playing it? Genuine question. Like do you think if all the best devastation players swapped Aug you’d still be the highest? People don’t play Aug because it’s horrible for the game. No one likes tanks and to insinuate this is a “streamer take” is laughable.
It’s the same reason no one cares about rank 1 solo title people when they played guardian druid for instance.
Pre bear the insults coming for something I’m sure.

So much juicer ego in these threads its wild. i hope people know how they sound when they are pissing all over each other about who got glad first and when, i know u guys are probably not neckbeards but u absolutely sound like it its crazy.
however I wanna add, I really don’t think aug should be amazing in pvp. Workable is probably the extent of it, but when aug was very good the games were pretty awful i think. I am not an experienced pvper, but i will say that the games were not fun to watch nor play in at a relatively lower level ie duelist/low elite. Maybe there is a way to make it good without it contributing too much in the way of team survivability+damage, but I’m not sure.
It’s literally a DPS specialization, even factually shows it in game. On top of that, it dies easier than Outlaw Rogue, Sub Rogue, Ret Paladin, Elemental Shaman, Demon Hunter, and Shadow Priest.
It also has the same utilities that Shadow Priest, elemental shaman, enhancement shaman, and ret paladin have.
If Aug is a tank then Outlaw Rogue needs renamed Protection Rogue, and Paladin has 2 tanking specializations

I agree, it’s not as dumb as it was. Hence… why no one is playing it. Because it’s just a worse tank spec and dev is better in like every way. I can only imagine whatever you play would probably see more success if you just swapped to the dps spec that does more dps.
And for what it’s worth, no one like tank outlaw or dh either. It’s not like we’re advocating for those you mentioned lol. I don’t agree with the ele and stuff take though. Definitely not the same ballpark. Either way people frown upon specs that thrive by not dying or not letting their team die by an abundance of defensive cds. Of course every spec has defensives and we don’t need to nitpick that. You know what I mean. Ret was that after the rework. Just infinite damage and no one could die. Everyone who advocates for Aug says the same things people who advocate for tanks say. “Support spec! We do decent dmg and aid our team in blah blah.” Yeah, you bring it to 80% dampening. No thank you.
