It may shock you to realize that some people have things like…jobs. Families. And they do this little thing called sleeping. Not everyone can live a care-free life, hopped up on energy drinks, while being financially supported by parental figures.

8 means 10-12 minimum. Not necessarily their fault if it takes longer, because they never seem to fluff the numbers to allow for problems that can crop up (aka “under promise and over deliver”).
also sometimes there system need to be rebooted because of big dragon mounts at the events needs to be gone and depends on when they finished

And it takes a whopping 5-10 minutes to do the event and again, you’ve got 120+ chances at getting it within a week.
Your same argument could be used as to why do they even bother to try to log in if there’s such a burden on their free time that they can’t play 10 minutes a week.
