Dang it thought I’d get in one more portal kill but nope countdown for shutdown started and its going to shut down before portal appears.
8 hours though?
Yep that is what the posted but have said they are not sure if it will take that long or be longer we won’t know for awhile now…
welp time to go touch grass i guess
eyes burn from the sun
Well they did say that they wanted the patch to be a secret…
This maintenance schedule could be a rouse.
Who knows.
you make a good point.
is this gonna affect era as well? for the whole downtime, i mean.
Here’s hoping it’s on the shorter side today.
So, is this the new norm? Spend a week informing us of an extended maintenance then 12 hours before telling us its hardware related and cause mass speculation leading up to it on a super-secret patch?
And do it while there is a one week event going on that will never be repeated again in game…
If it is 8 hours this Tuesday for infrastructure, then it will probably be another 8 hours next week for patch. Back to back 8 hour maintenance windows, plus more if 10.2.6 does not go swimmingly. Bad time to be a Tuesday in March.
So we won’t see any new stuff? Bummer
Great 8 Hour Maintenance on my only day off rip.
That is the best tuesday downtime message I have ever read. Thanks for letting us know.
It’s funny, in over ten years of playing EU, I’ve never witnessed the servers not working during the day or weekly maintenance lasting more than an hour.
But US servers can be shut down at any time of day, and 8-hour server maintenance is the okay.
yeah 8hrs is crazy! not even that long when they release a new game, like wtf
My ques as a new player for dm /sfc /wc are over an hour long… what sort of server work needs to be done with such small server populations. just wondering are we shrinking servers and calling it a maintenance?
Not sure if you can share this or not, but is this just a “simple” hardware replacement/upgrade, or something to allow for future feature changes/updates?
its just the way things are now.
thanks for the heads up! - keep us posted.
