Man this really sucks... Will Blizzard listen? Unofficial Mistweaver support group:

Our healing currently is super strong atm. We are actually keeping up with all the other healers except Rshaman. The only thing we really don’t have is a reduce damage CD. I don’t think we’ll ever get 1 though tbh. I personally think only Disc should have a reduce damage abilities anyway.

This is way way way better then BFA. Our healing really isn’t that bad.

Mana is a bit tight in M+ but still.

The bigger issue is the stigma MW have now for doing M+. Me and the other MW in my guild have the absolute roughest time finding groups unless its with guild members. @Pipin right now this week its really bad but last week it was not as bad. Its impossible to reliably fistweave in pugs +5 and up.

I don’t understand people who say that Yu’lon is powerful BUT it requires 30-50% of your mana and to be able to hard turret cast for its duration.

MW is the most mana starved healer in the game and their new CD requires more mana than any other healer but apparently that’s strong?

A Druid just presses Tranq and does more healing than the MW who presses Revival and Yu’lon but only presses Enveloping 2-3 times.

This is why I play with Chi-ji, stacking 3 melee abilities (black out, rising sun, spinning crane) makes enveloping mist free and instant cast. For group heals during a big pull it’s great. Precast essence font and spin to win while throwing out free enveloping mists.

This dogsh*t class man where is our help?

I tested Yu’lon again tonight on heroic Inerva. I had 1 pull where Yu’lon did 350-400k healing! Was BIG BIG BIG! Didn’t even add in the enveloping mist healing. EVM was an easy 100k+ on its own

I love this type of CD. I ran Innervate for the first 10sec into a full length Mana Tea. Saved HUGE MANA

Haven’t been able to play much so my opinion is mostly moot, but it feels like I’m going oom in PvP way faster than I used to.

Also the GCD after SM still feels bad. Really missing Legion style AMA

I switched from healing on monk to druid for our normal mode raid group and the difference was huge. Far more healing, far less mana issues, cooldowns that feel strong, and utility options. The only thing I miss is monk’s defensives.

I will say I slightly prefer healing dungeons as monk. But yeah, I’m dropping my monk for druid healing.

I don’t think anyone is complaining about our CDs(maybe lack of) or single-target healing. Issues I run into is group healing and the issues that come with it. EF is a hot that can double proc mastery but its mediocre and shines with ATotM legendary. Renewing Mist+Vivify is only 2-3 targets which is not bad but requires Vivify spam which eats our mana.

Raid healing especially when its not just you, healing is fine. Having someone innervate you in raids shouldn’t be necessary to fix something broken in another class.

M+, hell even M0s MW can have trouble. All it takes is a pug group to shine the problem. A few people stating the class is fine is proving that either something is fundamentally wrong or technically broken to where too many people playing the class are having a problem. PvP MW has it a lot worse.

Just burned a +7 sanguine depths key with a 197 mistweaver healer. I am literally not taking mists into M+ again until blizzard fixes this class. The mist was constantly oom, constantly drinking and could not keep the group up in gauntlet. We were running out of time and I was told to GOGOGO HARD, and I did and they just went flat oom while not having the output to keep the whole group up.

Night and day between mist and resto sham/druid/holypriest, I’m not taking mists in M+ anymore.

That’s a shame, that you’ll judge and alienate and entire spec of players based on a single player. Could be they just weren’t ready for it.

I haven’t healed a Sanguine Depths that high yet so my opinion might change once I do. We’ll see as Sanguine Depths 10 is the key I got after my last run for the night yesterday.

I agree our mana costs are high and could use some tweaking but a good mistweaver will sit and drink as frequently and for as long as possible despite the pace of the group until our mana issues are hopefully addressed.

Storming just requires too much movement, and it just tanks mist’s already poor mana efficiency. Trust me, a fully geared (197) mist could not heal a +7 sanguine, where a resto shaman slept through it.

I’ve had appropriately geared mists struggle in spires of ascension on +4, and ToP5. It’s not the player.

I appreciate your view and that you put your experience out there for others.

Like I said, my opinion may change after I experience it for myself. I have a very slightly lower ilvl than the mist that was in your group so I may very well struggle/fail as well.

I also have been running with the same tank player exclusively for the last 4 years and we are very in-tune with each other so that may effect the outcome as well.

I’m also not disagreeing that both restos are in a better spot right now. I’m just not ready to give up on my favorite healer just yet bc our mana efficiency currently sucks.

Oh it’s gonna make all the difference if you are running with someone you know and especially if you have voice chat. That will be huge compared to my rando pugs.

He and I do use voice chat, however we pug our dps so it’s usually hit or miss on timing keys.

to the other’s team’s joy as the enemy mistweaver healer comes straight to you

“look at this guy boys! we’re about to win!”

I have no idea what you’re trying to say. Is this a pvp reference? That’s content I avoid like the plague.

lol yeah

By the time I level a different healer and gear them up blizz will buff monk and I’ll have just wasted 20 hours of my life.

Not to be too much of a Debbie Downer, but monk buffs tend to be few and far between.

I play monk because I love monk. But I honestly am not expecting any buffs.

Biggest issue is our HPS is where it should be. Never mind the glaring sustained aoe and mana deficiencies.
