Making an Alt Just to Roll on LFR Gear

As long as your group meets the minimum requirements to queue (2 tanks, 5 healers, 18 DPS), then yes. You can even queue with less (queued as 2 tanks and a healer last night), but the LFD tool will fill in what your raid /party is missing with pugs. The only restrictions on LFR queues are people who are silenced, cross-faction groups, and of course size.

Gear is temporary, mog is forever.

In my opinion, the LFR coloration of the tier looks amazing - other people might not feel that way, and that’s okay.

I get it, I’m not going to fight for or against it, but in a direct argument, the mog will be there forever to get from the instance, but a lot of solo people need to gear up to be invited to harder stuff to gear up more. Both arguments are valid, neither is correct, it is on Blizzard to fix it, but not because either way is wrong, the best option I’ve seen so far is to get all mogs below the current one you already got…

It is not grown ups.

It is emotionally unhinged man children throwing hissy fits over their virtual dollys getting the prettiest of pretty colors, VS, entitled low skilled brats.

I feel that way often about the LFR colorations, this one included.

Oh nooooooooo, “real” raiders need to use workarounds or…gasp…WAIT to get one specific color of gear that they don’t need, oh nooooooooooooooo…

As someone who has always had to wait until two expansions later (or more, lately) to get all the things I wanted out of raids, let me just get out this tiny violin…

I’m sure you’ll struggle through this terrible burden of not being entitled to say that you “need” someone’s gear upgrade because you like the color green, or just want it as an option to fill out your collection despite having no intentions to even use it…I believe in your courage, man. Stay strong.

I wish I was good enough to get the purple set TBH, but I suck at PVP, oh well…

Maybe the same team that handles class balance?

I’m saying literally as traditional kind of literal. You cannot queue as a Raid group in to LFR.

5 groups of 5 will be split into different instances almost every time.

You can probably still get it, bot sure how long the season will last, though. For next season, just try doing the daily BG/epic win, and the weekly quests that you can. You should be able to get at least what you need for a mog by the end, even if you don’t run solo shuffle. Just doing the dailies will net you 1260 a week. It’s just a time thing. Just PvP, and you will get better, i promise.

You can get Glad by doing that stuff?

I don’t understand why LFR has group loot, a very “what could possibly go wrong?'” moment right there.

The idea of a bag with cosmetic appearances for completing an LFR wing sounds good imo, you don’t get gear just an appearance or a chance at the necklaces for the mount once you are over the lfr ilvl of like 385+.

I also gotta say, if LFR is your main source of gear perhaps you are just making it harder on yourself? A +5 or +7 key is very easy to do and significantly faster than spending an hour in LFR.

That’s next level pettiness, ngl. And a lot of wasted free time.

Really just can’t use one of the like 5 other different recolors of the set?

This is literally a personal choice you’ve made though. There is no choice in this setup.

Basically, they disincentivized players from bringing an over-geared toon to carry LFR because people were whining that they should bring back PL because the new system was acting too much like PL for their liking.

My mans made a personal choice to not run LFR for the color set that they wanted before they did the higher difficulties. And even going in there overgeared in M+ or PVP sets would still let them yoink gear that someone could actually use so that the system can check a box for the transmog and then they can vendor it. But this one method doesn’t work exactly like raiders at higher difficulties want it to and now it’s such a heavy unfair burden.

I run LFR to get the tier set bonuses and on low level alts (although I probably won’t anymore for the tier sets now that we have catalyst). M+ is my main source of gear, LFR supplements M+ gearing, just like world bosses, and world quests do.

Yes, let me sit on my main and do nothing for what, a month after they release the rest of the raid because of some ridiculous arbitrary rule that came out well after surpassing LFR Ilvl. I’ll go hop in my Time Machine.

Yeah, the first epic win of the day gives 110 conquest, regular BGs 70, and the weekly stuff gives 175 i think. Rating is just a recolor mog, and upgrading ilvl on conquest gear. Solo shuffle is pretty nice for conquest farming, though.

I “literally” (in the traditional sense, meaning actually) did this last week, and it’s something you’ve been able to do since WoD.
