I agree, I hate the subscription system, and everything is moving to it, and in many cases it doesn’t make much sense outside of “we want your money all of the time,” but WoW is a bit different in that the money really does go to server upkeep, paying people to maintain the game itself, working on new expansions, and so on.
This is actually where a sub model makes sense.
Now, regarding WoW, you can pay less but you have to buy more than a month at a time. I think 6 mos is $12.99 per month, but paying that much in advance is difficult for quite a few folks.
There may never come a time when the price goes down, because people have been paying $15 for 16 years, and if they haven’t lowered (or raised) the price in all of that time, and people are still paying it so readily, they’ll likely continue in the foreseeable future.
Would it be nice? Yes! $7 a month would be a good deal! Would it be likely? No.
OP, all ill say is just be thankful blizzard doesnt run wow like SE runs FFXIV. At least blizzard gives you something if you get a 6 month sub unlike over there with their monthly updated cash shop and ‘optional’ bank space they let you rent.
It’s a pandemic and stuff is shut down you people are saying this is a luxury theres not much to do because of the shut downs entertainment like wow is more of a necessity than a luxury and the least blizzard could do is make the price cheaper It would be a fair and nice gesture. 15 dollars a month and a lot of those months have no new content.
Like I said before, if youre THAT hard up for money, there are legit sites that let you make a few dollars here and there. Youre better off finding one of those vs asking for something that hasnt happened and will never happen.
15 a month is a lot if we got new content every month I could understand but I wont let you people try to say I am being unreasonable. The price being lowered would be good for the game. Add more stuff to the store and lower the price.
Wait…you mean all my monthly subs are not necessities? But what would I do without my monthly Cute Kitty magazines and CBS All Access? I’d have to…watch antenna TV! Or go outside and talk to people!
If someone is having a hard time finding a job, and is having a difficult time putting food on their tables. They probably shouldn’t be looking at spending money on video games or any subscription based service, atleast not until they’ve gotten their finances figured out.
