I’ve got to be honest with you. I completely understand, I do, but if you’re skipping meals, WoW needs to go on the backburner. I have a sub, but this $15 is my whole entertainment budget for the month. I made the choice. If I have to skip meals, I’m putting the sub on hold.
You’re worth more than a video game. Yeah, it’s fun, and yes, I get wanting to pay less because so many MMOs are doing the F2P/Cash shop options these days, but take care of yourselves first. Okay? No game is worth your not eating regular meals.
I feel like WoW is worth the sub. If your friends didn’t think it was worth the price than that’s cool, but it doesn’t mean WoW is over priced. Most of us probably spend more than that on our other vices than a WoW sub per month.
Everyone is sick of subscriptions everyone I know is already paying too many subscriptions. Having to pay a wow subscription on top of Netflix and spotify and if you have a console is too much I dont know if everyone here is pretending to be rich 15 a month adds up and sometimes for those months they dont add any new content I think 7 dollars would be better
And most legendaries will need stuff from other professions, so every profession can make decent gold this expansion, even inscription. Hell, even if people just want to gather that will be good gold too since like i said, less multiboxers to flood the market this time around.
What nonsense! Talk to Nike, and tell them to reduce their $200 sneakers to $30. Then go talk to Apple, and tell them their new iphone “needs to be reduced” to $200 from $1200. After those companies say yes, then talk to Blizzard.
Financially it’s plausible because I believe Blizzard is on record in saying that In-game Shop purchases surpassed subs in terms of revenue with BFA & Allied Races.
But Activision is so greedy that I seriously doubt they ever would.
No one os forced to Have a Netflix, Hulu, HBO MAX or WoW account per month. These are luxaries and should only be subscribed to if you can afford them. Sometimes you have to sacrifice one thing for another. Or don’t. But you’re not entitled to anything you can’t afford unless it’s basic human rights.
I think folks are failing to see that when you have so little money (despite working two jobs) that you can’t do anything, any distraction from that–whether Netflix or a game–may be the only thing keeping you sane.
I went 15 years without taking a vacation, and was able to take one just before Covid hit only because my grandmother died and left me a little money.
The minimum wage needs to be more than doubled, and UBI is the only way we’ll get through Covid without mass-evictions.
I bet these are the same friends who have one or more of netflix, hulu (no adds or live), disney+, espn, twitch subscriptions, amazon prime, walmart+, I can go on.
