Make subscription cheaper wow is overpriced

I have a lot of friends who have asked about wow and showed interest but when they heard it was 15 dollars a month they lost interest please lower the price paying 15 dollars a month is too much for a game like this maybe in 2005 but in 2020 there are so many more reasonable priced gaming options.

psn and xbox subs are 9.99 per month

Well this is a pc game not a console game.

I guess it is sunday in several parts of the world right now, so its time for threads like these to pop up.

It’s stayed the same since 2004. If anything it’s shocking that the price hasn’t been adjusted for inflation.

Either way, no thanks, lower sub necessitates further proliferation of cash shop crap. There’s already a way to pay for free anyway, just farm gold and buy tokens.

It’s less than a large pizza at Marco’s… (Pepperoni, onion, cheese, bell pepper.)

That is one meal, this is for an entire month.

Actually it’s pretty cheap.

Farming that kind of gold takes 50 hours anyone who’s being real knows that 15 dollars a month is kind of rubbish. The price needs to be reduced I think 7 dollars a month is a nice compromise. For the player and blizzard.

It’s practically couch change. If you get the discount with the 6-mo sub it’s $0.43/day. Very little other entertainment has similar value:cost.

The costs of the game haven’t decreased since 2004, they’ve only risen. Where is Blizz supposed to make up the difference?

$15 is actually pretty standard for online sub-based MMOs. A lot of others have the exact same prices as Blizzard. If it’s too much for your friends then it can’t be helped, these games probably just won’t work for them. But there seems to be a common agreement by all of the games that this price is fine and needs no changing.

This is just the kind of game WoW is. Subs pay the bills and keep the content rolling out. I think it’s pretty affordable, 15 a month isn’t that much. In return you get frequent new content for years with patches and expansions.

Right, anything that’s cheaper or F2P is typically gatcha/mobile trash, not a real AAA game.

ESO is optional though. I am F2P.

PSN gives two free games a month (I got Hollow Knight this month that I’ve been playing), as well as additional discounts to all store content. Plus, it’s cheaper.

I personally think Wow’s sub price is fine. Same as ESO, SWTOR, and FF, so it’s industry standard. Just saying.

Tell your friends to get a job.

Marco’s i remember that name
is that the pizza chain where you build the pizza and bake it at home?

If you’re friends are having issues paying $15 a month for a game then I’d say they should probably put the video games down and start focusing on getting an actual job.

Just farm gold?

heh heh heh

It’s taken 9 max-level characters a year to get my total gold holding up to 390k; the 2k gold WQ payouts over the last two days boosted that total by 10%.

i know but its was 14.99 per month i was just making a point about the $15 a month comparison.

This is a billion dollar company they are more than fine they dont need $15 a month to survive this is just greed we are in a pandemic and things are getting harder to afford. They already have an in game shop and the expansion and the game a lot of people dont have this kind of money 7 dollars would be a lot more reasonable
