I don’t see an issue with the price. I was fine-tuning your points in agreement, not really disagreeing.
WoW’s sub is the same as any other MMO.

This thread is stupid simply because SL will be throwing so much gold at us if we use half our brains to level a crafter up to make it. If you cant make enough gold in game or enough money irl to pay…maybe reassess some things in your life before logging in.

No. The sub keeps the cash shop in check. The moment WoW has a shop like ESO or RuneScape, I will agree that the subscription should go.
Until then… No. $15 a month is absurdly cheap anyway. You spend more buying convenienance features in other games. lol

It’s very hard to buy the wow tokens and for people saying that me or my friends need jobs it’s a pandemic and you might be privledged. But a lot of us ain’t. We are already skipping meals and this sub fee isnt helping

Go get a job, lazy butt. There’s tons of jobs out there, and you might have to do something you might not love, but there’s still lots of work to do.

Honestly, if you can’t afford 15 a month for WoW then you probably have more important things to budget for and shouldn’t be playing in the first place. A game is not necessary, save your money for things that matter. 
Video game companies are businesses, so yes they do things for profit. Slashing that profit would harm the content and business overall, which is not good for WoW. It’s been the same price for a long time and there’s never been an issue with it.

I already have two, although with schools closing down again (and I probably won’t qualify for unemployment again) that might be down to one.
Not everyone was lucky enough to find a decent job.

It can be very difficult for folks to find work at the moment, depending on where they are located.
That being said! Look up some gold farming guides and get to it. You’ll make a lot more gold than you think and will easily be able to pay for the sub.

You can find something if you look hard enough. And it’s easier to find if you can relocate.
It’s more than okay to cut off luxury’s you cannot afford. If the $15 a month is so bank breaking for you it’s okay to cancel your sub until you’re in a better place.
There’s no shame in being in a rough spot. Many people are right now and will continue to be. Stay safe and positive friends.

There was a point years ago when I was in a rough spot and had no income. WoW wasn’t a luxury I had unless friends or family gifted me time, because any cash I earned went to food. I dealt with it.

This isnt about jobs or how good or bad my job is . I already have to pay for Netflix every month people are struggling to survive and sick of subscriptions if blizzard made the sub fee half or just got rid of it. It would help bring more peoppe to the game and people struggling

How exactly is it hard to make gold? The atol dungeon spam still worjs, all-be-it not as easily as it was but still nets 4k every 10 runs in raw gold. Is it amazing? No but you still will get enough for a token if you are consistent.
Shadowlands legendary system is going to get crafters a lot of money especially with the decline of multiboxers so im not seeing the issue.
Also, i list though methods because the dropoff isnt going to be noticeable.
Hell another pro tip is to do surveys online for rl money. It wont make you hundreds but if youre that hard up for 15$ its easy enough to make that much via stuff like that. I do that sometimes on my phone when im out waiting etc.

Likewise folks saying “Just find a job lol!!” also need to quit being naive. Not everyone can find a job at the moment.
It depends heavily on where you live.

See…I don’t really feel any pity for you. You’ve opened a thread complaining that you can’t afford all the luxuries you want. You say Blizzard shouldn’t charge for their service because your friends aren’t interested in paying the fee (that’s how companies make money and create paying jobs).
