I mean, trust me bud, it has in a lot of parts of the world. price went from 25R$ to 27R$ and now that a single dollar is worth 5,38 reais, it’s 35R$ for a month.

No. You people think it’s a joke because your out of touch with what young people do and need.

LOL WHAT

DID THIS KID JUST SAY HE NEEDS NETFLIX TO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND

No. Here. This is what you need to have a girlfriend.

  1. A job.
  2. A good personality.
  3. Mental stability.
  4. A plan for your future beyond playing WoW and watching Netflix.
  5. A desire to treat your girlfriend well and a desire to marry her (cause wtf is the point of dating if you’re not gonna get married).

And Netflix.

Or you are out of touch with what an actual necessity is. But then again, you need netflix to close the deal. You know what, us olds, we had no issues dating before netflix existed…

Op is an obvious troll yet people are still falling for it.

OP. i upgrade the 8/10 i gave you earlier to a 9/10.

There’s a reason more and more women of the younger generations are eyeing Gen X’ers rather than guys of their own generation for relationships.

It’s because Gen X’ers are (for the most part) more financially stable and more reliable than guys who sit around and do nothing all day except playing video games and expect their girlfriends to pay all the bills.

As Foxxsy said…

Times have changed having a girlfriend is more expensive you cant just buy them an icecream cone now like you boomers are so out of touch with how much everything costs this sub fee Is why this game barely gets new players

i dont completely agree with this. but it is a bit ridiculous for an MMO to have a monthly sub fee, a box cost and micro transactions. Usually video games are either free with micro transactions, cost 15/month full stop, or cost 69.99 as a one time purchase for the entire game.

When you think of it like that its pretty insane, 15/month, 69.99 box cost for expansion, then micro transactions.

Thanks and yes these old people like to be walked all over by billionaires for some reason.

id say its just people dont care bc its such a insignificant price. 15/month is like netflix, and my mothers generation are paying sometimes over 200$ for cable lol. I think its a bit of complacency. But to me I think they should drop the box cost completely keep the sub fee, and then have cosmetic only micro transactions, but no mounts. You should be able to obtain everything in game.

EDIT: I also dont want to see the games cash shop offering the best quality looking collectable items in the game. I can picture now some of the best looking, poly model wise, transmog sets being sold in the cash shop. And then you look in game at the current raid tier and the mog isnt even close to the same visual quality as the cash shop. That I do not want to happen.

I live in Canada, we have 3 seasons, Winter, Still Winter and then Roadwork, ice cream wasn’t a thing up here.

I am out of touch? Kiddo, I have like 14 auto subs coming out of my account. All of which I choose to pay for. I don’t try to live beyond my means and cry to a company that they should give me everything gratis.

This is adulting, and it’s not on others to manage your expenses.

And again, you’re ignoring exchange rates. Nobody buys anything internationally and doesn’t understand exchange rates. The objective value is the same - the subjective value changed.

If I took my $15 USD to Australia today, they’d give me $20 AUD, and I could use that $20 AUD pay my WoW Sub from Darwin at THE SAME COST. Just like if I took my $15 to the bank and they gave 60 Quaters which I used… … … … … …

If I took my 15 AUD and came to the US to do the same… I wouldn’t be able to pay the sub fee. =\

IF Blizzard raised the price to 35 AUD, you’d have a point that there was a price increase. All they did was adjust the exchange rate to match the rate of the last 3 years.

Games are more expensive than they have ever been across the board.

You could tell me you can buy a good quality game $20 in 2005.

That’s not happening now lol

Wow sub is cheap and more worth (it in my opinion) because it gives me more entertainment hours than other forms of entertainment with a same or higher price. The sub cost is fine.

But if you’re juggling between a videogame and having a proper meal, then you need help.

I think $15 is fine, it didn’t go up with inflation all these years from 2005-2020

It’s really not though in a sense its killing the game because a lot of people dont want to play because of the huge fees. If they cut it in half we would see more players and a better community

pay $15 one time and farm gold for the rest :man_shrugging:
