didn’t work for me. This feels like the handoff to the server is bogged down for some servers (stormrage in my case), and the client times out before it can return. Add in folks hitting retry every time it times out, and you get a very cranky service.
So, I got in. What i did was I click “Cancel” when it takes a bit longer than usual to Login to the server and did it a few times and it let me in after 4-5 tries. Basically click cancel before it gives you the error and then reconnect

I guess all the Blizzard employees went home after the patch update and nobody can even play but a small few.

Tried for about 90 minutes to login. Did absolutely nothing else and got it. Waited 10 hours to login today, but I did get Bottle of Spiraling Winds from the Great Vault… so well-played Blizzard… well-played
Small indie company can’t even apply patches. Not like they’ve been doing it for 15+ years

when i tried this, I got a message
“we cannot authenticate you at this time”
this is so frustrating
Fixed: Trying to switch from one “Full” server to another “Full” server.
- Click on “Change Realm”
- Click on any “Low” populated server
- It will bring you to the ‘create a character screen’
-Click “Back” (bottom left)
- Click on the “Full” Server you are trying to login on.
I hope this helps. It worked for me as I was always brought to “Proudmoore” Server but was trying to switch to my main server which unfortunately both are “full” servers. I guess you can’t switch from one “full” server to another “full” server, so you have to go from Full > low > Full

i dont even get to the server list…
This and every other…so called “fix” has done nothing. i think these “fixes” do nothing and people just randomly are getting let in and then associating it with wutever they just did. U might as wel blink twice, spin around three times, and jump in the air. then try relogging!

Ok, so update from what I found out. I have 2 starter accounts and my main account. I logged into the starter account, and loaded in just fine. Went to try to create a character my main’s server, and it threw up the error. Seems to be happening on highly populous servers
Thanks for this, I finally got in by using your workaround but I had to blink three times and spin twice, hope this helps someone.
