I put in a ticket for this as well. Got the normal check online blah blah blah waste of my time response after two days. Then took a week later and got yet another useless response where they deny it’s a known issue and ask to report the bug. The report the bug tool is just a method they use and encourage so they don’t get as many web tickets. I report bugs all the time and they’re never fixed. This is a ridiculous issue though because it’s a colossal waste of peoples’ time. This has been a known issue since 2018 and has had blues respond (Here is the url to the original post - Battle for Darkshore bugged out - Support / Customer Support - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com). They made it into newer content here in shadowlands to make it easier to do with less people but didn’t bother to still fix the bug from four years ago even when it was current content in its expansion. This event is not up often and is one of the only ways to get currency for mounts, etc. It makes it not able to be completed. Even if it’s just this specific boss - it makes achievements unattainable. If you even google “Maiev - battle for Darkshore bug” you get a whole history of reports on forum, etc. Yet they have the gull to say it’s not a known issue and just point you to report a bug. I don’t know what we pay a subscription for, but it definitely isn’t quality customer service or fixing bugs in a timely manner and keeping all content “Playable”. The GMs in the original game were a lot more helpful and got resolutions compared to this. Now all anyone does is say it isn’t their department, isn’t their issue… and it never gets fixed because no one takes ownership.

I can understand how frustrating it must have been not being able to complete the quest as it comes up so rarely and I would love to help you with this.
Checking the quest here I found no currently known issues with Warfront: The Battle for Darkshore though, specially if the endboss doesn’t work there would be more reports as its required to defeat Maiev.
Unfortunately I can’t mark the quest as complete for you, as the criteria wasn’t met, and would have to ask you to report it as a bug via the Help Menu as to let the Developers have a look at this.
