Dunno, Maive from “stormrage” book would probably try to kill Illidan even if burning legion on the line.
She worked with Illidan at the Broken Shore though. Together, back to back kinda thing.
and that’s out of her established character.
Tyrande and Malfurion dies.
The players: Ha! Now the Night Elves will rise with better leaders.
The Devs: Hehehe, now our Horde can bully the Night Elves easier since they lost two powerhouses.
Hopefully the devs don’t listen and just do a better job with Tyrande and Malfurion (Not sure what’s so bad about them anyway).
He was powerful… War of thorns ?! /slap
I think Shandris would be better suited as Nelf leader. Maiev is one of my favorite characters but I prefer when she has autonomy.
He is powerful.
Bring one faction leader that is as powerful as he is. Only one might be Jaina. But for someone who had the majority of his army away and suffered a surprise attack from the entire Horde machinery, he almost even killed the Warchief after besting Saurfang and engaging Sylvanas who had several Orcs on her side.
How come that’s not powerful?
Its 100% blizzard writing at fault for making tyrande and malfurion look so weak. The night warrior arc could have been so much better, and the ONLY reason it wasnt is because that loser ion didnt want his self insert getting offed and gave himself plot Armor. With elune backing her tyrande should have wiped nathanos and both of those valkyr out of existence. But no, ion had to survive so he could go back to his waifu mistress.
Malfurion is/was so powerful and adept at druidic magics that cenarius himself deemed malfurion worthy to take his place as a demigod of nature. Why the hell would a druid that powerful resort to using mere bear form in a fight? He should have been commanding an army of ancients and causing the ground itself to swallow the forsaken alive. But no, he turned into a bear where his only ability to fight came from his paws and jaws.
Poor writing makes for poor heroes and blizzard did tyrande and malfurion an absolute disservice with bfa and wow in general. In warcraft 3 we were fearsome, feral yet advanced, one with nature - not just the tranquil life and flowers part of nature, but the ferocity and primalness of it as well. We rode giant killer Wildcats into battle, we fought alongside skyscraper-esque walking trees, we soared the skies on hippogryphs’ backs and rained arrows on those below.
Ever since wow vanilla, though, blizzard has relegated us to nothing but flower picking hippies.
I’d say that thrall, when he was the world shaman, was a match to malfurion- not that those two would ever fight one another.
I’ve always liked Tyrande’s dedication to her people and hardline stance of NEs first, but Blizzard has a strange way of making women faction leaders lose their minds and become questionably sane.
And I’m not even one to look for feminist outrage.
But he had aspect powers there.
There needs to be a faction merger and faction split already.
It should be obvious that SOME Horde and Alliance are ready for peace, while some are ready to start the Fifth War.
Merge the Horde and Alliance into one faction.
Then let those who wish to keep fighting form two new factions.
Sylvanas’ Army and Tyrande’s Army.
Sorry but I’ll never agree to merging horde and alliance. Orcs vs humans, alliance vd horde, is the very heart and soul of the warcraft IP. I think you’d be putting the final nail in the coffin trying to do away with that.
That’s where the story is heading.
Only Sylvanas, Genn, and Tyrande want more war.
I’m forming a team to mess with the Horde… I got Maiev and Greymane… Who else?
Also, if you don’t want peace, it means you’re on one of the new factions that are ready to start a new war.
I think you’re giving Maiev more credit to her sanity than she deserves. Sure she released Illidan when she realized he was the only hope of defeating the Legion for good, but she is not a social person even amongst her own people; it’s her way or you’re dead, literally or figuratively.
Maybe she should come Horde and kill off our Koombya council.
The alliance and horde becoming friends is like…
Aliens and predators
Imperium and heretics
Angels and demons
Reapers and galactic life
Empire and rebels
Borg and 8472
It just shouldn’t happen. Ever.
Because almost doesn’t apply to ‘immensely powerful beings’ dealing with slightly above mortal strength foes.
