I practised my challenge without any consumables / bloodlust until I hit the point of knowing that I could not beat it without from the boss % now on. The last 30% I took down with consumables. I did not waste gold on them as I practised without it all the time until that. I think that’s the best to do.

Not everyone cares about parsing. The fun part is learning the mechanics. Classic raids were trash.
Blackwing Lair, Ahn’Qiraj? Zul’Gurub? Naxxramas? They were all fantastic raids.

The mechanics were actually very unique and a lot of thought was put into the raid environment. That’s why they’re so memorable even to this day. That’s part of the reason why we even have Classic WoW.
It’s outdated and been streamlined and metagamed to hell. If there was a unique designed raid for Classic WoW, I’d definitely check it out.

lol no. They’re memorable because the map design was good and because they’re the first raids people played. The encounters themselves were a joke. They were only difficult when half the group didn’t know what they were doing.
Not to mention it was when there were 40 people on dial up with potato computers
