Can’t give up if you never try it.
First of all, define inherently fun for thousands of people. Secondly, people who don’t want to step into raids solely because it’s raiding content are not going to start magically raiding. They’re going to continue to not doing it, regardless of what anyone does.
How would you go about doing that so that it also includes people who want to overcome challenges? Obviously the two are mutually exclusive seeing the divide over the mage tower. Or do they just not matter?
Go to their armory. If they haven’t done any raiding until this tier and they have one kill, they’re boosted. If they have several kills on multiple bosses, they’re actual raidiers.
No that’s not what matters. Anyone could easily out gear it at the end of Legion. Just because something is too difficult for you to complete doesn’t mean that it’s over tuned.
I love that meme. It works for everything
It was far from anyone. It still posed significant challenge for majority of players.
It means exactly that. Overtuned.
EVERYBODY thinks the new expansion is fun for at least the first month.
Interesting you say that, I should direct you to the Jeff Kaplan interview about raiding in 2005.
One difficulty raiding, like it was in Classic.
I mean you as in you personally, not the player base as a whole.
It’s not an impossible task. Put in the effort to get good enough to complete or don’t lol. The world doesn’t revolve around your skill level.
UH DK the imps need to be nerfed imo… way to many to fast and unless you can somehow do over 1k dps you’re screwed… ive tried full unchained pvp gear and my pve gear ( which is ilvl 233) and no matter what i try i cant do it… ive given up untill this crap is fixed… either give us our borrowed powers back for this since it was designed with thos in mind or nerf the fights…this is old out dated content it shouldnt be this hard at all ( also if we were truely scaling we would be legion lvl cap with legion ilvls)…thats how i see it at least if we were timewalking per se… this content was lvl 110 with around avg of ilvl 950 near the end… this atm is jsut a joke an ive had enough.
Its not just UH DK. My outlaw rogue getting destroyed in matter of seconds too. It is so overtuned…
Nobody is unable to complete anything you can complete unless they are disabled in real life. It’s a game, and the “difficulty” is nothing but basic human adaptation and instruction-following with proper execution. It’s not designed to be hard, just to force you to adapt, which we do naturally by frustrating ourselves.
If someone cannot complete content because they are disabled, that’s an accessibility issue and Blizzzard should attempt to tune the game so that they can overcome the content as well.
The goal is not for a small number of players to prove that they are “gud” while everyone else “QQs.” The goal is for 100% of players to succeed after a harrowing trial that annoys us and gives us the illusion of having earned it.
Many of us are too old for such illusions these days, so I’d be satisfied with those rewards being made available for a token effort from anyone, because Blizzard seems unable to properly tune any encounter these days.
Except we’re not talking about the entire expansion. We’re talking about a particular asset of the expansion.
I’m not going to do that, but even if I did, a lot of things have changed since 05. People have different expectations
You mean the one difficulty that was an absolute braindead joke?
I think “harrowing trial” is being dramatic. It’s one challenge that rewards one transmog set per class. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t get it.
It is available to anyone for a token effort. Put in the effort to complete it and the rewards are instantly yours.
There are literally hundreds of transmog sets that you can obtain with great ease in this game but as soon as they put something behind a challenge it becomes a massive problem lol.
A token effort would be running in – as-is, with no food or consumables – and winging the battle to great success.
People will step foot into raiding if it’s fun and accessible content. Karazhan was one of the best raids ever designed, and was easily accessible. Sunwell Plateu, on the opposite spectrum, was both insanely difficult and not very well received.
Absolutely. Elitists get their fix by parsing really high on damage meters and managing threat, and casuals get to raid. Everyone is included.
I claimed my challenge to be impossible and overtuned too, but then I took the effort of bashing my head against it 29 times to complete it. It’s a matter of wanting and it certainly can be fun.
I know some challenges might still be too tight for certain specs, mine felt to be right to do with just consumables as an extra and I enjoyed the content. It’s just a mog
I honestly expected them to release them undertuned and I could grab all the mogs in some hours, but they did not. Still got fun out of it
So you want the only solo challenge mode in existence currently to be basically a freebie that anyone of any skill level can complete?
No thanks. It’s a challenge mode, it’s going to require some effort and for a lot of people it’s going to require them to get better at their class. Like I said if that’s not your thing there are hundreds of other transmogs you can go farm.
Everyone I know that’s completed it so far has had almost the exact same experience, myself included. It sucks at first but the more you try the better you get at it and eventually you do it.
Absolutely.
What a sad state of existence tbh
Have already for the most part. Just wondering, if anyone with any physical disabilities irl have been able to complete any of them. I can only use one hand to move control my characters, and use abilities. Gave it a few attempts, but can’t even manage to hardly damage Fel totem, and the worm, before I die lol. Just gave up after the 4th, or 5th try.
Okay well I don’t agree with that at all. I think it’s okay to have a few challenging events in the game. There is far more easy content than there is challenging content, you’ll be alright.
