The CM sets are pretty much a variation of the CLass Hall sets
They should have added rank 3 and rank 4 essences as cosmetic replacements for existing spells. So like breath of the dying for smite, unbound force for arcane missiles, etc.
Absolute crime how warlocks are the only class with an exclusive option to change their spells. And no glyphs are pitiful cosmetic options.
OK and? They aren’t the original sets. Why would I settled about a rip off if people are able to get the original mage tower apperence?
What will really be funny is when they bring this back and the whiners who wanted it so bad are unable to complete it because it’s tuned extremely high.
I really wish for that lol but unfortunately i feel like covenant powers are going to make the challenge trivial
Kek perfect monkey paw
So you didn’t go for the Class Sets when you did legion ?
You don’t really “go” for those. Just doing what you should anyways gets you all of them except maybe pants.
That was at least for me for the later classes. Was doing raids not dungeons really at all on them.
But you have the opportunity to win more, better trophies. There is exactly 1 feral form that is meaningfully different to the rest, and chances are that we won’t be getting any more.
You also don’t have to wear that trophy around whenever you go bowling…and yes, this is where the analogy starts to break down.
What commitment?
I keep hearing ‘well, they promised!’. But nobody has yet actually been able to specify what this promise was, and when it was made.
And again - there will be other tournaments to win other trophies.
If Blizzard offered druids other form options to earn from raids and the like, as they do with the other classes, I’d probably care a bit less.
But they don’t, and - if almost 2 decades of precedent is anything to go by - they won’t.
I’m looking forward to squaring off against the Imp Mother again.
No? Why would I? Its a budget version of the sets I earned and didn’t earn.
And you will get the opportunity at other cool things to earn down the line. Just because you did not get the cat / bear forms you were hoping for doesn’t mean the deadline suddenly goes away. Point blank period.
We were told more than once including on the official forums that once the deadline passed, we would not be able to get the mage tower appearances any longer. Included in such announcements had also been the M15 appearance, but that was then altered, with another post on these very forums, informing people that was no longer the case due to the system being implemented in BFA and kept as a permanent gearing path.
Being told: “You will no longer be able to obtain X after Y date” is a commitment. “Thanks for letting us know, we’ll get on it.” It was also sent in an email, just like it was in BFA as well, informing people “Here’s what’s going away”.
Me?
I accomplished most of what I wanted to do, before I had to suddenly stop playing in order to deal with a very sad, very serious personal issue.
Again, I hoped that Legion would be the new standard for us druids, and we would finally be seeing regularly added alternate forms/skins, much as other classes get regularly added transmog options.
We didn’t, and that’s why the removal of pretty much the only ‘flashy’ form ferals have is something of a sore point.
…What?
Blizzard should 1000% add more cat and bear forms. Just not the mage towers.
See they say that and then they leave in KSM for 6 extra weeks, while being incredibly vague about other rank 4 essences.
They need something like the mage tower with all the mogs and skins to bring me back before 9.2. I’d be hyped for it.
No Boomxic
Hah!
I wish this was the case.
Again, druids have received exactly zero new combat forms since WoW’s inception. Legion was the only exception.
What makes you think that druids will get any cool new combat forms to use down the line, when zero were added in BFA (and the new forms in 9.1.5 aren’t combat forms, and are essentially just mobs from the world)?
I’m genuinely curious to hear your response.
See, this is where a little bit of empathy is a useful thing.
Forget me, for a second, and forget about your own sense of …prestige? that you seem to want to defend.
Imagine a new player coming into the game and realizing that the only meaningful visual customization option they have is no longer obtainable.
Do you think this would make them less or more likely to continue playing?
Again, I’m not saying ‘give us the exact same forms’. There is room for compromise here.
Why wouldn’t a simple recolor make both parties happy here?
That’s not a promise. That’s basically a design decision. Blizzard reverses design decisions all the time (remember GC’s infamous ‘the Cata dungeons are fine because WoW was supposed to be hard, and instanced content is not really meant for PUGs’ post?).
Game design philosophy is an evolving process.
If there’s no return of the artifact skins then I’m not gonna even bother. The recolours don’t even look as good as the originals.
Quite literally couldn’t care less. At all. I am a New Yorker. You either keep up and get what you want or you miss out and you move on. I was raised to accept that which has moved on and kick the crap out of the next thing I want. A new player and their experience means nothing to me because I will tell them outright to kick the ever loving hell out of the next challenge.
I will repeat myself. A new player and their experience means zero to me because it is not justification to go back on an established deadline.
