Mage Tower, Oh my

You don’t “agree to disagree”
You’re spreading misinformation.
Idc that you looked at a 1%extra deeps guide, most ‘good gear’ is incredibly accessible and easy to get.

what did i say that wasn’t true…quote it.

More like based on what we’ve seen it is definitely coming. We got both the book and the slime cat so far so… I’d be surprised if they didn’t keep going.

Boom. Fake news. :point_down::point_down::point_down::point_down:

If you can’t enter tomb or emerald nightmare for a mog run, then youre ngmi either way.

having gear and optimized gear aren’t the same. But you knew that.

That’s the truth.

I completed the bear challenge back when it first came back out for a limited time. Hardest thing I’ve done in this game.

I think it’s the wrong decision to make it this difficult.

The tower needs to be catered to the majority of the players skill level. Which, imo, isn’t very high.

I did Agatha on my mage when it first came back with legion timewalking. I want the mount from doing all 7 very badly, but I’ve resigned myself to accept I’ll never get it unless it gets nerfed.

HOWEVER;
I will be giving it more attempts in DF prepatch, tho. With the return of talent trees, and some covenant abilities being rolled into the talents, I feel like I could stand of chance.

Well here’s the real problem: you were mistaken.

I’ve played WoW off and on since Vanilla, I’ve got multiple 60s, I’ve done some heroic raiding and m+ up to 15s and not beyond. I don’t spend a lot of time grinding for gear.

And man, the amount of stuff there is in the world still for me to do. I’m constantly going back and trying to get old achievements for things I missed. Doing the old class hall quests on each class is something I still, dabbling in and out for the last few years, have not finished doing. And then there’s all the old dungeons and raids, transmogs and pets and mounts to chase, hunter pets to tame, all the new endgame stuff that’s open world pve in Korthia and Zereth Mortis like world quests, the pocopoc thing (which personally doesn’t interest me but it is more content), mount and pet building, reputation grinding, all the reputations from previous expansions …

“All there is to do” is, like, endless for someone who doesn’t want to do endgame PvE content and doesn’t play but for a few hours a week. If you’re playing 2-3 hours a week, you’ll literally never run out of things to do because you’ll never be caught up in the first place.

Why? Why does it NEED to be completable by the majority of players?

People just want the shiny thing without having to do anything for it.

I don’t feel weird about it. I think MT is fantastic unique content.
it has one of the lowest entry levels in the game. no need for ilvl, not even max level.

overcoming a very difficult challenge is an amazing feeling. Not everybody wants to do that though.

the only solo player content with the intention of being the hardest solo content in the game should be catered to the lower skill level of players???

its the only solo content of its type in the game.

yeah, it sounds like jor just made the decision for themself, and made her afraid to try any more content.

all in all, there seems to be complaints from a ton of people who are making critical, and fixable mistakes. if you’re getting to 10% or less in the fights, its just about practice and minor changes.

but for example there have been many complaint about the bear tower by people saying they can’t get past phase 1. this isn’t a gear issue, its a clear misunderstanding of what is happening in the fight issue.

How I feel:

Not in mood to get frustrated over a video game, so I stay far far away from it. xD

He is obviously only talking about players who are physically capable and have enough time. I feel like you pointing that out doesn’t mean much, of course if you have physical limitations you wouldn’t be able to do the mage tower, and thus he wouldn’t be implicating you in people he is calling “lazy”.

DH is a lot harder for Xylem than all the others. Personally I think frost dk is the easiest by far, because you can run to the very edge and grip, which allows for more room than any of the other strats (including bringing to center at start). Add in ravaged seed pod + unbridled and personally I felt the challenge was pretty easy.

Twins I believe affliction is the easiest, because you can cheese the enrage. Just wait until the last time karam comes up and pop heroism and all cd’s, get him down and then just spam agony and drain life on raest while making your pet soak the runes. You can literally take as long as you want and full heal through the bolts.

I don’t want to diminish someone’s physical state, but there is too much proof online through documentaries and alike showing extremely disabled players performing at a high level through one or more means.

“I can’t because im disabled” really sucks, but others with greater disability have done incredible things in games.

Yea, I don’t get what players have against Blizzard making challenging solo content for those of us that want it. The amount of trivial solo content is much, much more prevalent. It would be like me spamming the forums demanding that the rares in ZM be more difficult to kill so that I can feel like I really earn the gear they drop.

Of course. People do amazing things despite the challenges they face. I just wanted to point out the lazy comment was obviously not aimed at someone who is physically unable to do the mage tower.

i dont like tedious solo pve encounters, i know i can do them as i did lost arks tower at recommended ilevel, but never again on any other game.

Yep. Casuals have been told this many times. That’s one reason why there is next to no casual content in this expansion: “You can do the chores I wouldn’t dream of doing myself for the rest of the expansion. That’s all you deserve, and you people are too stupid to tell the difference.”

Players have been told that Blizzard had no choice but to make it much harder than the PTR on release, that it was necessary to teach casuals a lesson about how blizzard (and you) feel about them. That they were invited to resub to do a timewalking version of the mage tower which they were not going to be permitted to complete.

So pure bait and switch you’re supporting there. And later timewalking gear was nerfed to make sure they didn’t get to use the gear that YOU cheesed it with.
