Let me preface this like so: I’ve only recently started being a hardcore player, and the thing I’m most hard core about is collecting stuff. Reputations, mounts, pets. You name it, I’ve been doing it.
So, during Legion, I started the expansion just like the rest of you. A few weeks late, of course, but I hit content hard and had a blast. A few months pass, and I’m forced into a gap mid-way through where I was stuck not being able to focus on the game. Life happens, right?
I come back Legion roughly a year later, and I have to say that it still remains my favorite. I was swinging through reputation grinds in so little as a few weeks and hitting content hard. I say to a friend of mine that I’m excited to finally get into the artifact appearances. A checklist, a long term goal is what I’d equate them to. Then my friend tells me this:
“Ghost of the Pridemother is going away. All of the Mage Tower appearances are being removed.” Bummer, right? I’ve at least had a feral druid in some shape or form since Wrath. Well, of course, I ask, “How can I get it? I love that skin.”
He says, “Do the mage tower, but you can’t. You won’t be able to in the amount of time you have.”
This is a similar story I’ve heard very often. The comment responses are numerous, but generally expected. “Put up with it. It happened in MoP. Amani Warbear. Just be there, back in time. Never again. Maybe we’ll see it a Decade from now.” Well, it has been digging at me for months. No, maybe more than a year now.
Why are we, the players, being punished for this Blizzard?
Why would any developer place so little emphasis on an appearance, I mind you as a feral druid main, one of the very few we get for our class, and then rip it from the hands of thousands of players? A cape from a mini-boss on Timeless Isle is one thing, but one of the few alternatives for the feral druid class in the game?
Unthinkable.
Please allow us the chance to enjoy the content you have provided. We can prove our strength in a class trial despite the time period in which we do it. Please reconsider and allow us our chance.
