Mage Tower artifact skins should still be obtainable

Despite the difficulties in our discussion I do apologize for my weird wording and phrasing. I’ve had to say it in other threads but I have a very difficult time expressing my thoughts and putting them into words to properly convey how I feel so it comes out more condescending, aggressive, or what have you than intended.

I know we cannot change each others mind and that’s honestly healthy to have two people with different points of views discussing our ideals in a public forum. The world would be boring if everyone thought the same way.

I do appreciate the extended invitation and might take you up on the offers sometime. I wish you the best rest of your holiday.

Your childish behavior never changes. What’s next? Is it also his own fault for existing in the first place?

Who are you?

Only if he’s his own grandpa like in Futurama

I don’t know why people keep saying this. Thousands of players have the MT weapon appearances and we’re fine with this. Those thousands of players did the same thing I did, at the same time I did.

So… why you implying that anyone against bringing them back only wants them for ourselves?

It’s a bad argument.

Nah not every item needs to be available, and I personally find it funny that so many entitled people are obsessed with a couple items when there are thousands of other items people can get instead, some even look better than the mage tower. I for one don’t want to see Blizzard going back on their word for these items.

They want it because they can’t have it. That’s all there is to it. Take the hulk bear form as an example. They’ve added new appearances using that skeleton, and the skins are better than the original, but that’s still not good enough. They could add recolors of all the MT appearances and I guarantee you that won’t be good enough because the recolor won’t match the mog they want to use for a day.

ROFL I mean a great example of what I’m talking about is Lumiya. They’re complaining really hard about the unobtainable Druid appearances and the MT achievements but a quick check of their achievements show they don’t even have “A Towering Success” which is granted when you beat one new MT challenge.

I mentioned a bit ago to the person I was discussing with that I have a terrible time relaying my thoughts properly into words, especially in the heat of the moment topics on something I’m passionate about. So everything I say, as weird and passive aggressive as it comes off is to be taken with a grain of salt in terms of tone. I really wish I could slap a warning label on every one of my posts but I feel people would start accusing me of using it as a crutch when my mind just words things differently. :dracthyr_shrug:

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the Fel Bear and I recently got the Rune Bear and I use them on a good portion of my 14 + Druids. But I would like at least one or two more natural colors for werebear available to all. Maybe a coloration similar to the bears in the Azure Span forest areas.

Also don’t you at least agree that the looks should be hidden from those of us who didn’t get to unlock it? To me its a reminder that I couldn’t do the encounter on part of several reasons and yes it is upsetting. If they would hide those forms to confirm that “Yes, sorry, you didn’t get them and you won’t be able to get them again.” That would be fine with me. But they are shoving it in our face like you are saying “You can’t have it ne-na-ne-na-neee-naaa”

It’s not just you, you’re just the latest one to do it.

Yes, I think they should be hidden.

I want it back since its a pain to collect the remaining recolors. Did you know if you cleared the mage tower on a class and have the skin, but make a new character of the same class possibly an allied race and level that character, possibly main it and try to get the recolors on that character, you can’t despite being able to mog the mage tower tint of the weapon? Honestly if they just open up the mage tower stuff they can also make the other stuff account bound(Like every other row of the legion weapon system now including the balance of power row which was rightfully changed for being a similar pita) so I don’t need to do 10 rbgs per character on some dated characters to potentially get a cool weapon skin. It gets all mired up in the mage tower shouldn’t come back stuff, but mage tower skins have the same issues that balance of power had, and I can’t think of a single time I saw someone rage about how suddenly everyone had the honor skins for their artifact weapon once bfa rolled in and the honor requirements became trivial(and account bound).

Even at 36/36 opening up the mage tower appearances would improve my experience, especially if it means blizzard goes in a direction where limited time never coming back appearances stop being a thing.

27/36 and I can firmly say reintroducing them won’t have an impact on my experience. Leave em locked.

So if it won’t have an impact on your experience you won’t mind them being brought back.

Great.

This is the literal opposite of what I just said.

I quoted what you said.

27/36 and I can firmly say reintroducing them won’t have an impact on my experience.

“reintroducing them won’t have an impact on my experience”

It won’t impact your experience at all so bringing them back shouldn’t matter at all to you.

Unless you’re saying that blizzard bringing back special pixels would harm your experience thus you want them to stay locked. Would your experience be harmed by them being reintroduced or not?

And you intentionally excised the rest of the quote to misconstrue my position:

I’ll qualify my statement since you’re being intentionally obtuse: reintroducing then won’t positively impact my experience.

I love how you state this like ya got me when obviously they are special since apparently nobody can let them go for some reason, like I have.

I’ll defer to my above posts in this thread, you can track them on my profile for ease of access.

I did not misconstrue your position.

You said that your experience would not be impacted by them being reintroduced.

I’ll qualify my statement since you’re being intentionally obtuse: reintroducing then won’t positively impact my experience.

Calling me “intentionally obtuse” is not a clever way of shifting the blame for your poor writing on to me.

Your position now is -materially- different.

“Won’t impact me at all!” is a world away from “Won’t benefit me”

I’m sorry that bringing these pixels back would negatively impact you. Rough life.

You did, that’s why I keep correcting you.

It’s not meant to be clever, it’s a statement of fact. Otherwise you wouldn’t have to excise my quotes for you point to seem valid.

Sure thing mate.

There’s nothing for you to be sorry for, they’re not coming back.

Huh? You’re insinuating I’m worried about the issue. I’m not- they’re not coming back and Blizzard has reiterated this several times. I’m both secure and satisfied with their position. I’m sorry you can’t say the same :pensive:

I quoted a relevant portion. You said ‘stay locked’ which I never even attempted to dispute. I chose to dive into your ‘I’m not impacted’ position which apparently I executed well because you’ve already dramatically shifted course from it.

Huh? You’re insinuating I’m worried about the issue. I’m not- they’re not coming back and Blizzard has reiterated this several times. I’m both secure and satisfied with their position. I’m sorry you can’t say the same

There are 3 positions:

  1. Reintroduction would not impact me at all. This was your original position but you’ve since retreated from it so let’s agree this does not apply to you.
  2. Reintroduction would positively impact me. You’ve explicitly stated this is not the case.
  3. Reintroduction would negatively impact me. This is all that’s left so it’s clear you’d be negatively impacted by other people getting these pixels.

I didn’t say you were worried. But if they did come back you’d be negatively impacted. I feel bad for the fragility of your emotional state that such a thing could have a negative impact on you.

lol

There’s nothing for you to be sorry for, they’re not coming back.

A good thing for your mental state apparently and perhaps the safety of local schools.

And you ignored the remaining relevant portion to fill in with artistic license what my position is.

According to whom? You? That’s a nice neat list that doesn’t include ‘accept the fact they aren’t coming back and it’s a moot argument.’

I never said you said that, I said ‘insinuated.’ These two things are not the same.

But they’re not coming back.

That’s really considerate of you, thank you. Luckily they’re not coming back and I’ve got nothing to worry about.

It’s really bizarre how far you’ve escalated your rhetoric after realizing you don’t have any valid arguments here. So far all you’ve been able to do is default to personal attacks. You’re silly.

While I’ve since removed myself from this conversation; can we just agree that like me, you used a poor choice of words or phrasing that doesn’t truly reflect your views and that it was a mistake to use the words in that context to portray your thoughts? Instead of this back and forth rhetoric of I’m right, you’re wrong.

Discussion between different points of view is healthy but after a while the topic zeros in on one fault and it’s a back and forth headache I think neither of you want to endure for an hour or more.

Edit: Like we said last night; neither of us is going to change our views that we already have so this back and forth of trying to prove a point isn’t going to go anywhere.
