They still took away 100+ appearances and 8 druid forms. That is a lot. Especially since some of the very rare few good warglaives, flails, and offhands in the game are on that list. You forgot the 4 reskins per spec. And they did take the reskins for anyone playing after legion so it is best to count it. I can’t even get the reskins on alts of the same class despite having all 36 mage towers completed I have to unlock them on the original magetower clearing characters which is dumb.

Agreed. Fomo is completely unnecessary. We will still play the game Blizz even if these appearances and different armor sets are returned. I would love a chance at MoP’s class armor sets again, I didn’t push content in those days.

I can’t speak for everyone, obviously, but I actively avoid rated PvP because I don’t think I have any chance to get high enough to finish the set. Since the set will be gone and then I’ll be left with an unfinished set, it’s better to just not have any of the pieces and save myself the disappointment.
I can definitely see FOMO as a reason that keeps people from playing, because wanting something that’s FOMO and being unable to get it is anxiety-inducing. Who needs that in your life?
Wow. This is so far beyond “learn how to prioritize” I don’t even know what to call it. You must really have it good for a video game cosmetic to be a source of stress in life.
I guess that depends on whether, “Having ADHD and therefore being unable to regulate my attention consistently and experiencing extreme anxiety when a hyperfixation can’t be completed,” is having it good. 
Because, you know, I can experience things that make you anxious while also experiencing things that make me anxious that don’t impact you. I can just have more anxiety then a neurotypical person. It’s … not great.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if they turned up on the Trading Post at some point in the future.
To be honest, I didn’t really care all that much for them enough to get any of them (MM and Survivlal Hunter were especially cringe-worthy).
I have a very hard time believing you’re triggered by unobtainables (particularly cosmetics), but not the sheer inundation of stimuli associated with reaching seasonal Hero multiple times. I’m sure it’s coincidence.
But let’s say I were to take you at your word. This is the world you live in. You encounter these things everywhere in daily life and consistently in gaming. Whatever regimen you’re on to help you adjust to these elements in life should include therapy covering acceptance and processing, as well as mitigation. This plan should have been addressed during diagnosis. To the latter point, if you are unable to mitigate your anxiety with the game, further exposure until such time that you are equipped to handle it is not advised. The power is yours.

My motivation drops sharply when I know there’s something out there that’s perfect for my aesthetic but that I can no longer get. (i.e. purple glowy cat I can’t get, to go with my purple glowy bear form so I “match”) .
You’re talking about how this should be a perk for those who have stayed subbed. You realize this game has been around for nearly 20 years now. How long should someone have to stay subbed for something? What about new players? Some 20-somethings who joined the game recently were toddlers when this game came out. Too bad you weren’t subbed when the content was current, toddler! You’ve missed out forever. Seems kinda crappy.
I don’t think anyone who wants those appearances to come back are asking for them to be handed to us or to trivialize the challenge. Give me a challenge, please. I am willing to grind and put in the effort to get them. At least that would mean there’d be a way to GET them.

Yes they do. But these druid forms and skins are still showing up as available to all druids in the barber shop, except there’s no way to get them anymore. Either remove them if you don’t have them, or give us a way to obtain them.
The glowy purple cat, for example, goes with the glowy purple bear. The bear was the super long questline grind and KSM achievements and is still obtainable. The matching cat was from mage tower, and is now unobtainable. It doesn’t really make sense to be punished just because I wasn’t maining a Druid 7 years ago.

I wasn’t maining a druid 7 years ago. And I’d like my cat form to match my bear form. And of course aesthetics and transmog are important to players. Blizz knows that, too.
But this game is almost 20 years old. There are people playing this game today that weren’t even born 20 years ago. But I guess screw them (and anyone else who has switched mains - or is new to the game at any time - or who take breaks any time between 2004 and 2023) for not being subbed at some arbitrary point in time years and years ago, amirite?
They brought mage tower back so that people who missed it 7 years ago can do the challenges now, no reason to not bring the associated skins back along with it, too.

Doing so would lower the value for those that already have it. This game runs on nostalgia after all, and that’s a finite resource.
But, a reskin would be good for the unique shape.
This is such a common red herring they use.
Challenge based timed content =/= Other content that was just removed

I have really bad ADHD and the frost mage tower gave me lots of anxiety, spent hundreds of tries to get because I’m not very good at the game (and I always made mistakes when there was so much on my screen, needing to focus the runes, while silencing and killing the hands, while avoiding Karam one shotting me, while avoiding the mobs and cycling frost orb and blizzard, while burning Raesh down cause overloads where I’d fumble one thing that one shot me), but I eventually got it (wish I just waited to outgear it more).
I wanted something and I got it. And you know what? If I didn’t get it, that’s on me. I missed out on AN OPTIONAL COSMETIC.
It wouldn’t be the end of the world. Players that didn’t get this have COUNTLESS OTHER OPTIONS.
