Mage tower appearances

They should make these level and item level related like they did with herald of the titans so it is attainable, but only using something reasonably comparable to what was available. That way if you go back and play a new character you still have a way of attaining these.

Regardless of what happens to the Legion MT,

I really really think it’s need to be added back into the game in some form or another —- with or without the artifact appearances.

The Mage tower content was just… genius, outstanding, frustrating, rewarding, and fun. It was a masterpiece, frankly.

I know a lot of people didn’t like it for various reasons and there were definite flaws, but it was a very special piece of content for us, whether you knew it or not.

We were very lucky to have gotten something like that.

We should be hopeful to get new, challenging solo content with similar~ but different rewards! Class sets again like MoP CMs would be popular I bet.

100% agreed. No appearance, mount, or thing in WoW should ever be permanently retired. All of that is still stored in my client to display when others have them; it should be possible for me to get them too.

Let’s give everyone all the gladiator and aotc mounts too, because why should we have anything remotely prestigious (granted the aotc mounts can be bought, but it’s the principle.)

I don’t think Blizzard has ever brought back any content they removed, the closest being challenge sets in Legion, but those were revamped/reduced versions.

No, we really don’t.

We need new opportunities to earn new rewards.

I like limited time events. Having said that, I don’t like when an entire model is locked away. If it were up to me, the mage tower would have made that model, in those 4 colours locked to that time like they did. But I wish going forward, they did something like another row, with at least one new tint available for some achievement only available During BFA, until Shadowlands begins. And then maybe another tint in Shadowlands.

That way, you keep the “I was there, I got this” coolness, but you don’t lock away an entire model.

I mean content can be prestigious without is getting removed. Content removal just feels like a way for Blizzard to try to convince people to stay subbed so they don’t miss out on cool stuff.

And how prestigious some of that stuff actually is ends up being subjective. Those appearances were balanced around early ToS gear, so getting them before you were decked out in that gear made it more difficult/challenging while going in after you had your full set of ToS gear greatly trivialized it.

By the end of Legion I started gearing up some of my toons and knocked out a lot of tower appearances I never intended to get on classes I never really played, but a ramped up legiondary system with an OP Artifact and LFR gear from the final raid allowed me to roll over any mage tower challenge I did with relative ease. The already easy ones were 1-3 shots and the ones that were supposed to be difficult ended up being 5-15 attempts at best.

Removing the Brutosaur mount is an obvious attempt to keep people playing and reason to buy tokens, that stuff is disgusting and should never happen again. When something is advertised as limited edition though it’s another story.

I agree while we’re at it lets make all the high mythic+ and mythic raiding rewards free for everyone because no one should feel left out honestly every single item ever in the game should be available to is to pick and choose what we want to use whenever without having to do a single thing for any of it that sounds like fun game play.

Man we might as well remove the sub cost because it’s only the privileged that can afford to play this game

And then remove all multiplayer because people don’t like to group up

Then just remove the online aspect, that’s another monthly cost not everyone can afford

Strawman of the century. No one said things shouldn’t be hard to get, we are talking impossible to get.

I think the bigger problem is that WoW didn’t have a history of removing content in the past. The first big thing I think they ever removed was Naxxramas, but there was an obvious reason for why it was taken out of the game.

After that I think the removed some titles from WoTLK Naxx and maybe Ulduar, but they gave up on that bit early on because achievement dates show off that prestige you’re talking about. I don’t think it was until MoP when they gave us CMs and a cloak that they started ramping up the removal of content on an expansion basis and I don’t think that content was announced as being limited (though I really don’t remember). And ever since then they’ve kind of kept up with creating cool rewards for difficult content and then removing it with no basis for doing so other than it being about prestige. Might as well start nuking mounts, title acquisiton, etc if we’re going that route.

Why should someone get an off season mount when they didn’t play in that season?

People were rightfully pissed when Blizz added replica Grand Marshall gear and I don’t think they’d be willing to do anything similar again.

So much entitlement.

I have all 36 mage tower mogs. I could care less if they come back.

I’m not a stickler for time-sensitive rewards - which are as much about retention as they are rewards.

It doesn’t matter.

I don’t care if I see players wearing Judgement armor today as it isn’t meaningful (nor has it been since Vanilla).

I would compromise though. You could earn it via a mage tower scaled to 120. You can buy old PvP mounts if you get the corresponding ranking in the current season, etc.

I liked your comment because I agree with your closing line.

What you just said is the equivalent of me suggesting getting a paint job on my VW bug, and you going 'WHY DONT YOU JUST TEAR OFF THE BUMPER AND THE DOORS. WHY DON"T YOU TURN IT INTO AN SUV. WHY NOT JUST DRIVE A TRAIN.

It makes it sound like there isn’t a legitimate argument to be made for your side. And there is one, earning it during a specific time makes it special, makes it cool, but don’t trivialize your own argument with straw man nonsense.

Really? Completing content in the given time period for rewards that were advertised as limited and expecting them to stay limited is entitled? Wow.

I’m just rolling with the joke man, chill out on the video game forums

I’ve already said my piece on this. It’s not going to convince people that want everything handed to them. Just have fun with it now.
