Mage tower appearances

As long as the quests/vendors are still there you would be able to get the backpack. But more importantly, there are other backpacks in Shadowlands. I wouldn’t mind if you could get the Mage Tower models a different way - let the specific skins for those models stay unique to Legion so those folks still feel special for having earned them at the time, but letting us get the models (especially Might of the Grizzlemaw model) with a different appearance would be good enough for me.

Yeah you can already get those Vanilla mount from black market AH
PVP elite why not? Since you can get Mythic gear from old raid i say screw it just release it for everyone.

not really. I have nearly all of them.

prot pally is excellent
prot war excellent
all druid skins are amazing, especially bear and cat

for dps rogue got really, really good ones especially outlaw
arms warriors sword is gorgeous. im actually a little shocked I dont see that many people using it.

theres a few other awesome ones. the frost mage one is amazing and its one of 3 I didnt get.

Hey, I’m happy to be the average person who uses the system as a way to incentivize myself rather than beg for hand outs and freebies. Also no need to start getting snippy, opinions are valid on both sides.

Exclusivity and time sensitive rewards aren’t bad. People don’t always get everything they want, and that’s just part of life.

This is the way I look at it. I failed to get the WoD weapons (UBRS broke me and I refused to step back inside of a CM…) and I also didn’t care at the time because this was before they told us the weapons would be open account wide. I now regret not going back and putting in more effort, and so I used that to incentivize me to get all of the Mage Tower skins. I saw missing out as a reason to push myself to never miss out again rather than come to the forums and whine because I missed out on the game.

I agree, prestige is good for the game. Use it as an incentive.

HEY, THOSE RECOLOURED MASKS YOU GET FROM COMPLETING A MASK RUN ARE REALLY COOL, I ENJOY HAVING 5 DIFFERENT COLOURS OF THEM.

The best :+1:

Even better, lets make sure that a small minority get to feel special. Lets make sure they get all the cool toys and then make it that others can never ever get them again! That is much better for the growth of the game!! I am sure we will get many more subs just so people can have the opporunity to gaze in wonder at the leetness of a few greedy people!

Resources had been spent for creating the mage tower so they probably just deactivated it. Aside for exclusivity and limited time content, if they activate it again and bugs happen because it was tuned for legion content, then people will come here to flame them. Then they become the bad guys again. If you are Blizzard, would you do this?

Imo make “challenge mode” sets for each season of M+ for +15 or higher. I would love that! The mount is cool but I have a crap load of cool mounts. I would LOVE for more class themed transmog like the old CM stuff.

a keystone master mog set would be awesome.

I don’t see them dedicating that much design time to it though. We lost the class-specific tier sets, after all, and went to 4 generic armor type sets.

maybe they could do a weapon mog collection, like challenge modes had.

When we get to Legion Timewalking, I’m fine with a new tint using the Mage Tower appearance if you’ve unlocked the original artifact appearance on the account.

Why? So that people that weren’t there for a time limited even that was known to be time limited since the start of legion can cash in on something they weren’t there for?

It’s a good idea but then tints would have extra value attached to it, and everyone who didn’t have the certain tint would complain just as much as this.

This is trivial stuff. It’s just appearance. It’s not a game-changing mechanic like race or abilities, or anything story related. It’s cosmetic - things which people are happy to be micro-transactions. It just has value because it’s exclusive, which was the intended result but a certain crowd can’t appreciate things for what they are.

The only way I’d be ok with them adding them back, is if there was a mage tower time walking where you wouldn’t use your own character, but one created by Blizzard specifically for the event that mirrors what a TOS character would be like during Legion.

Artifact abilities would be there, class abilities etc.

iLevel 900 or less

And you have to grind currency to even attempt it, and it’s very limited.

Basically… exactly how it was during TOS.

Only then, would I say they did it right

Let’s give everyone all the special event pets and toys, and all the collectors edition stuff, and all the TCG loot, and give everyone a weekly ration of resources, and remove gold, and…

Yes please!!

I’d even pay $30 from the shop for the transmogs I’m interested in.

But I’d much rather the opportunity to do the Mage Tower itself and earn the rewards in game with some challenging content to boot.

No one is special for completing Mage Tower. The person who achieved the transmogs on day one of it being made available, should they be given extra praise versus the individual who completed it the day before it ended?

What does the length of time between two different dates of completion, have to do with the achievement of having completed it?

And if it was brought back right now, or a year from now, what is the difference between the person who completed it the day before Mage Tower ended, versus the person who completed it upon being reopened?

Nothing in this game makes anyone special. But we can certainly find enjoyment in new experiences. Taking away the opportunity to experience new things doesn’t enhance life in anyway, not unless the feeling of having it taken away is the new experience. But we’ve all experienced having it taken away now.

And many people have not experienced it. This game doesn’t have a ton of fun, challenging, solo content, with beautiful rewards to boot. A lot of the solo content is challenging in the sense that it is a grind.

As an example: I wouldn’t never, ever, wish upon others that they not be able to experience the Brawlers Guild, simply because I completed it years ago.

That sounds more than fair. I’d be open to it even being slightly harder than Legion, in consideration of those who completed it awhile ago.
