One person on a beta thatās been out for two days where you canāt even test max level PvPā¦. Mages gonna be whiney soon enough, happens every time

That wasnāt my complaint, it was primarily how the class feels really simplistic and on rails. The agency to use spells when we like, not when weāre told to.
And I know itās just beta, abilities are broken right now and damage is all over the place, but those can be tweaked. Youāre much stronger in beta vs live, based on my experience in transferring my character over.
But the removal of certain iconic spells and the merging of abilities for simplicity just feels awful. This isnāt just a mage thing, I understand that.
And no, mate, I provided you my feedback that blink is 15 seconds, not 10 seconds as you claimed. Iād gladly give up a blink charge for blast wave or icy flows lol.
At any rate, I encourage people to visit the beta feedback forums. Not many players are happy with the pruning, and as I mentioned, not just a mage thing.

Arcane. But Iāve played it less and less ever since shortly after Overpowered Barrier got all the speed cut in half without them fixing the bug where it can go an entire match flat out not working.
Screw that, they can remain dead. Ice Floes is way less fun than Shimmer and Blast Wave is nothing but toxic and unnecessary.
Might I remind you that no other class can break stuns every 15 secs or even close to that.
Oh no no! I love blast wave, not just in PvP, but delve or solo content.

Why did you not like blast wave? With all the cc in the game, it almost always drd for me, and then my smile went away when target was immune. Lol
With 4 Shimmers/Blinks we donāt also need a knockback, plus we have DB Sheep/Ring, itās just overkill and overly favours us on raised maps.
Adding in another thing, it also meant we didnāt have to be particularly good at aiming Ring.
If this was directed at me, there is some truth. Iām pretty much mid at best, but that is because I just stop at elite set.
But, I donāt believe Iām incompetent at the class, rather just happy and comfortable with stopping at elite set. PvP gets far too toxic at higher levels, at least in my experience.
Iād like to just go back to the days of Arcaneās kiting style being fully in its ability to maintain its extra move speed, not massive control.

How do you come up with 4 shimmers or blinks? Iām only at two. Iāll log into beta later again. Cause, I donāt think alter time resets a charge anymore. I could be mistaken though.

how so? they removed a full stun DR and you have a trinket with a lower CD than the DR itself, making you insane into anything that would require lockdowns to secure kills on you. Mage and hunt were seeing more and more defensive bloat and/or cc and it needed to be reeled back in
3 + Alter to be fair, because Alter still resets a charge and the 2nd charge talent is in the class tree now.
Blink actually gained its 2nd charge back from back in the day without having to give up the root and stun break portion which has never been a thing before (having both).
It wasnāt aimed at anybody in particular.

mage was the best class in the game almost every expansion with nothing but blink and frost nova for the vast majority of this games lifespan
