i think it’s just a semantic disagreement, i value the distance between worthless and only marginally useful a lot more than u do i would guess. i do think it’s pretty unlikely that it’s less useful than the .00085% of 6 ivls but that’s gonna end up a little more subjective
I think they have many tools that compliment poor play and not the opposite.

Are we at the point of linking world first kill vods as proof for strength in PvP now without taking in to consideration that the reason they’re playing Fire over Arcane atm is because they don’t have tier in Arcane’s non-legendary slots and double legendary isn’t out yet?
Imfiredup is probably the best PvE Fire Mage in the entire world it’s not fair to compare the rest of the class’s playerbase to him along with them having 300 pulls to practice on Halondrus.

if you think ret pallies have to work for any sort of healing now, go back and play wotlk classic when it comes out, ret pally right now is more OP than i was in season 8 with shadowmourne and full bis pvp\H ICC 25m gear

In some ways it was, I did way more damage in S8 compared to cata but we had WOG in cata, so

Rets werent even the best class with shadowmourne lol
They werent, warriors still able to pump as double healer, but smourne ret was pretty insane, but no where near as insane as current ret pally, the spec is so insane right now, as an original ret pally main I cant think of anything more a ret could ever want.
Imagine going back to wotlk ret where avenging wrath can be purged like other classes offensive CD’s now? We should go back to that, ytou can’t even cover combustion with slow fall anymore, why should ret pallies have 20+ seconds of damage uptime on wings?

Legion Ret, Cata Ret, WoD ret, MoP ret have all been better than season 8 shadowmourne ret
You can say ret is super strong but comparing it to Shadowmourne ret seems stupid when it wasn’t even close to their strongest season outside of this xpac alone

Idk about that, S8 shadowmourne ret was definitely super strong in terms of damage output, it’s just you had to mostly hard cast heals. Ret was good in only some seasons of those expansions, mostly at the end, I didnt play ret in WOD or legion but it was no where near S8 damage in MOP and only pumped in S11 of cata.
Because damage output alone isn’t what makes your spec powerful top tier

Complaining about ret on a mage, you really can’t make any of this up. Current mage is overpowered and has insane healing through absorbs and is stupid tanky. The only people who try to deny this are bad mages that don’t understand why they die at low ratings or biased rank 1s who are always fried.
