M+ unfun this season

It’s a statistical metric, unlike you trying to use “fun” as a metric. It’s hilarious how you completely discount my experience when I said I am having fun, but in the next breath you use your definition of fun as an argument. Fun is subjective and your definition of fun isn’t a universal truth.

Agree. Loved S4 DF. TWW S1 makes me not want to play at all.

PUG healing is exhaustingly stressful. They’ve made it so you essentially ignore the tanks and have 2 GCD wiggle room to keep 3/4 of the other people from dying in most fights.

If they made it any more bursty you’d need all insta-heals.

The percentage of time you’re in a 1-2 GCD away from wipe situation is way too high.

Nah, I have friends. I was perfectly fine playing the new GW2 expansion but since they are all here right now I came to play with them.

i kinda blame the community on this and how people over evaluate how good they are . also pugging with strangers brings the worst in people. two things, blizzard can either just make dungeons super easy like WOTLK and call it or the community must become better in game and socially.

Isn’t ever going to happen to be honest. WoW is really bad at telling players how badly they play. There is a reason why 8-10 keys are filled with people who should be in 6s. To be frank the game does nothing to show them why that is. They just see the CE raider being able to climb that way not grasping why that is.

Im at the point where im done with the season when comes to raiding and M+ - there just little incentive to continue to play. The dungeons aren’t fun, the affixes are horribly designed with the current dungeon selection and the rewards are the worst its ever been since launching M+.

A character can be geared for 7+'s through Delves but it feels like you need to be mythic gear to even stand a chance to time a 7+ key… There no natural progression what so ever this season - other than do 8 Delves or just do raiding and pray for the best to get some heroic gear upgrades.

This season sucks and its killed the joy pretty quick on this expac.

I feel valor cap is lot shorter then attend.

its way too punishing in my opinion. It should be move up to 10+. this feel its only discourage players to do keys.

Some of the instances are bit overtune like NW 3rd boss for example, that boss is a pug killer.

On week 1 level 10s were fun cause we were all sweaty… But now the slightly more casual/less push minded people have joined in on 10s and it is impossibly not fun for every person involved.

There’s no reason that every single split second of the dungeon has to be a stress check.

While I don’t exactly agree with this… The gearing is fine imo, and we should have to work a bit harder for mythic gear… Something else has been lost along the way. M+ was always a lot more fun. Now it is only full of stress.

Hero gear should be dropping in 6s and gilded crest should be dropping in 8s at best.

What is your rationale for the thresholds to be lowered by 1 key level each aside from you benefiting from it directly.

Grim and Siege were picked because there are enemies and other things that force slow-down. The goal is to fight a timer, and what better way than to put in some form of mechanic that will force people to slow down?

I never played BFA, so when the Heroic version was slapped into the Heroic Dungeon Finder and I ended up there, it was easy to tell why it was chosen when we kept getting stunned while progressing thru. Grim Batol has the flying part that slows you down and can slow progress down if adds aren’t bombed quickly.

Speaking as someone farming tens. It helps the community to have a divide from people farming gear and those looking to time. There is more drama around a burnt 9-10 key then a 11.

Yeah, this has always been the case. Always drama around the top rewards and less when you go past it.

S3 of DF I got 3k io as a ret paladin. S4 of DF I got 3k io as a resto druid. Usually, I blast KSM out of the way week 1 or 2. Get geared up, then just vibe in 10s and slowly work up to higher keys.

This season → I have not done that. And going past portals doesn’t seem likely. (I still want my portals - at least that’s the current plan).

M+ just feels like a slog.

Though, I will say, I do have to realize its week 3. And as I slow down I’m enjoying it more. But still, I find myself pugging M+ less than I did in DF. Raid and Delves have been amazing tho.
