It can be hoth
It should be something you work for and earn.
We already had the “causuals can get best gear in the game” in BFA, and it wasnt well received. Not because causuals got gear either.
The argument that gear shouldnt matter and everyone should get it is double sided.
If it doesnt matter and everyone should get it, then it doesnt matter that not everyone can get it too.
True. Give tanks and healers more loot in mythic+
This just incentivizes people to play roles they don’t prefer for a reward. And that’s never a good idea.
Also giving tanks and healers more gear means they’re ready to progress to more difficult content and leaving dps behind. This also isn’t good.
A much better solution would be to increase the group size. So you can have more dps per tank.
Even going from 5 man to 6 man dungeons would be a 33% increase in dps per tank! Which is a huge increase!
Good idea on paper. Bad in practice
Youd have to retune mobs/bosses
Make tanks invincible again
Reduce dps theoughput
Increased dungeon mechanics
The list goes on
If the reward is greater than the risk of playing a tank I think it would push people to do it. I dont see that as a bad thing tbh. Honestly if I got a guaranteed drop at end of dungeon as a tank and maybe some extra crests that would push me to try tanking again.
This is under the assumption that there is a finite amount of people willing to tank and that they don’t play alts.
I’m not against this either but they would maybe need to retune healer abilities to reach 6 people up from 5. Also would break the game perhaps lol unless they made it this way for TWW dungeons only. I think there’s also a lot of dps players that don’t do keys because of the long waits getting into groups. If they start getting into groups faster it’ll bring even more DPS into the system and adding that extra DPS to the group won’t have done as much as intended. How you get things to change is you need people to want to tank or heal.
The system already works the moment they add those loot boxes to the LFG my q times for heroics jump from instant to 5 minute waits as a tank. So clearly there is a large portion of people that will tank but they want something extra in return
Not ready all that but I guess it can be summarized to:
“My spec is not OP Meta anymore so I will complain on the forums and say M+ is on a bad state”.
I propose we make tanking easier by reducing mob melee damage by 99.99%. So much so, that people don’t even need a tank. And anyone can tank as if they were an actual tank.
You can’t have tanks have an element of “prestige” while wanting it to be just like everyone else.
In cataclysm, I called tanks the same as dps, except they get hit by stuff. Might as well make that a reality.
Part of the problem with the hero gear that is available is that you can start getting it from M+ 3 and Delve 8 vaults but you cannot upgrade it past champion gear levels without mythic raid or M+ 8. That is a huge gap in difficulty making hero gear effectively the same as champion gear for a ton of players. It’s currently a bad reward system.
Entry level difficulty is normal dungeons and no one is arguing for myth gear from those.
But please, keep making your ridiculously hyperbolic arguments.
Now that is wild,
apparently there is “for fun” seasons and what, “for suffering” seasons?
Could please all seasons be for fun seasons or we cannot avoid suffering?
This is a video game right, Right?
It is not.
Mythic dungeons are entry level
I don’t believe you know what entry level means.
Though, I’m not surprised.
KSM has for the longest time been prestige content for m+, not entry lvl
Also this,
why the rewards is getting pushed farther, who requested it, nobody.
Because its staying at the same level of difficulty for the rewards.
The key levels are arbitrary. Its the level of difficulty that the rewards come from that matter. 15 in SL was 18 in DF which is 10 in TWW.
How has it made the game better?
As someone who can do 10s to get myth gear, I don’t need to inflate my ego by having higher ilvl than someone who can only do 8s or whatever.
I don’t require other people to be “losing” so I can be “winning”.
Agree, I would not mind if fellow casual players would get mtrack vault reward after completing +7 (OR LOWER).
How has it made the game better?
Keeps people in their lanes. So people who cap at 7s arent in the same group as those doing 12s because gear carried them well past their skill level
Pretty much keeps people from ruining others experiences
