+20’s though were getting way too easy.
Back in DF, I tanked some 20’s at 460 when the range at that time was 500 lol.
15’s you could practically 4man.
Now did we need to remove the lower 10? I don’t think so, but they definitely needed to do something.
I agree with about half the points you make, but this paragraph is a bit wonk.
I get that it’s acceptable on all online social platforms to baselessly talk trash about people who appear to be better than you in WoW with no consequences, then when someone who’s better than you claps back, they get reported and suspended, muted, banned, whatever.
But if you’re trying to win the hearts and minds of people and convey to them that there’s problems with tanking, keep the deeply personal and emotional projection out of it. It’s very offputting.
You wanted to insult people so much that the rest of the paragraph falls apart, and it’s kinda difficult to understand what you’re trying to say.
I’d recommend taking a deep breath and editing that paragraph.
The best players don’t really rage, btw. They typically say nothing, give a tip, or walk away. Some combination of that.
If they are being clowns in chat, raging at you in a 7 or a 10, it means they’re not as good as they or you think they are, and they’re projecting. Just breathe.
It gives you more options. Removes some of the rng from it.
Some slots it’s better to have crafted due to bad stat options and gaining embellishments.
Others are too invaluable to not farm out.
Yea, I was watching a video and someone refrenced you need like 90 gilded crests and I was dumbfounded, like why is that not explained up front in game bruh lol. Meant bad design as in it should be made more aware to the player they can do that, not the system of crafting. I enjoy the crafting system.
Yes, I agree with upping the tank/healer reward on completion of a dungeon, so that we can get more players.
But other than that, tanking is perfectly fine in TWW, stop asking for tank buffs. I play all tank specs and they are all very chill and tanky until 14+ where you can actually start dying if played wrong. I was clearing 10s on my tnaks in 605 gears on mutiple chars, no tanks don’t need to be buffed.
Most of the wipes in M+ aren’t even attributed to lack of tankiness, groups are wiping because DPS/Healers are playing poorly, and because of the mobs shooting out lasers every 1 second after all interupts have been exhausted (if you are not a prot pally).
I’ve tank and dps this season, aside from knowing routes which admittedly is a pita at t he beginning, I think the difficulty of M+ has mostly come from dps and heals. DPS are required to use their brain with interrupts and CC, which you can only do so much of as tank and if they get hit by any mechanic its basically a one shot. Tanks still have ridiculous survival. DPS are paper. Healer needs to be absolutely cracked and on point and you can INSTANTLY tell if you have a decent enough healer from the first pull most the time. DPS are now also required to use healing potions and their self heals/defensive cds. And idk if that is hammered into enough people yet.
Honestly tanking is the easiest role now… you can legit just chill as a tank, but you sweat like a mf as dps or heal.
It’s wild to me that we’ll throw rewards at healers in RSS 24/7/365 while they continue to lobby for wanting more more more more in order to perform the role…
Yet M+ tanks get the same rewards as everyone else, and have a like 70000x more stressful job.
If it’s any consolation, these people are on this forum for hours every day and argue any M+ thread ever made. If they weren’t using your limited M+ experience to argue with you, they would think of something else.
I think it’s an interesting perspective that you think that M+ should offer more gear to tanks when my personal opinion is that Tanks probably make the least use of gear out of the three roles.
Personally I would point to it being the opposite issue. Gear isn’t unimportant, but tanking is frustrating because if you don’t layer your defensives correctly you get splattered regardless of how much gear you have. Going from ~610 to ~630 never felt like I got tankier, it just felt like I deal way more damage.
This is the biggest M+ problem imo. Rather than fix raid gearing Blizz decided to make M+ gearing worse. Max ilvl gear shouldn’t be rare. It should be available to everyone through enough time played. We vendor it a few weeks into the new season. The skill rewards should be mounts, achievments, transmogs, and other cosmetics. Let everyone farm the best gear is whatever content they want to play.
