The game died in MoP/ WoD. Legion gave it a second chance.
Timers were not copied from diablo. Timers have existed for a long time.
chess timers, shot clock, pitch clock, play clock all exist because they test a player’s ability to make critical decisions in the moment.

M+ was one of the biggest wins for casual WoW players in WoW history.

What if we removed the timer and replaced it with lava pouring out from the entrance of the dungeon? Gotta finish the instance before it reaches you like in old mario games.

So me saying someones attutude is toxic makes me toxic. I love how people come on here defending the casuals and then get flamed. You know maybe Felpickle is actually right. You super casuals complaing are just complaining for the sake of it. Misery loves company clearly. Enjoy your m+ struggles, hope they make it harder so i can hear you all cry even more.
this is the voice of a noob. how do we know? he thinks addons are bad.
and how is this a problem?
No. Its all the other personal insults and assumptions about a person life outside of WoW.

I am for removing the timer constraints if and only if the following are true
-
Allow a new person to join the key. I know this could be abused ( kicking someone befor last boss and bringing in someone new ) but if you remove the timer people would be more inclined to afk for long periods of time and instead of bricking the key we need to be able to replace them.

They keep the timer but not link it to rewards so people can still competitively run quick keys.
They actually DID do that, it’s just called Delves… seriously.
Well number 3 would be to greatly nerf rewards.
Well, those two constraints are both non-starters
So you are here just to troll, got it.
And same to you, can’t deal with someone hating on a crap system, so you need to resort to silly school yard bully antics.
Is there a period of time prior to engaging a raid boss that is not being timed? I mean, a raid group could all go afk for 15 minutes before interacting with the final raid boss, correct? This is not the case for M+, right? This to me is the difference in using time as difficulty derived from content.
Sounds like you just aren’t good enough to do M+'s…
The timer literally serves zero purpose.
In fact most keys you pull like you pull normals, just not boss to boss. This happens because people want to go fast naturally. The only point the timer becomes an issue is when you aren’t going to time because of excessive deaths, bad pulls, buggy affixes.

Calling your opinions on something you don’t play unimportant isn’t bullying. Pointing out objectively false claims passed off as a fact is also not bullying.

It does make M+ less accessible for me as a tank. Not knowing every move makes it very stressful and people freak if I go off the optimal track, even for a second.
That’s why I’m healing this round, I just follow people around and keep them alive.
It’s funny watching the same M+ defenders parrot the same nonsense replies over and over again. The lack of imagination on display here, thinking that MMO dungeons can only be challenging with a timer.
I also think it is funny watching how upset people get over negative opinions on M+.
There are a ton of MMO players out there that couldn’t care less about rated ladder PVE.
History has shown us, time and time again, that competitive gaming is only enjoyed by a very small niche of gamers.
I don’t know why Blizzard keeps trying to chase these player types.
If you remove the timer, it becomes a death total likely and they have to disable bloodlust as well. Most group would become kill to boss wait till lust.
It wouldn’t be as good and honestly would be worse to pug
