M+ key scaling is whack

13,169,515 (All key levels)/140 days = 94,067.96 keys per day.

Here’s where DF S1 +12 keys started.

6,454,254 (+12 and up)/140 days = 46,101.81 keys per day.

Again, you are literally comparing 140 day numbers to 111 day numbers. You are also comparing global numbers even though there was a ban on Blizzard games which is why I specifically looked at US/OCE numbers to account for the variables across the season. You are also looking at numbers that include +2-11 keys that were completely removed from the game.

M+ didn’t open on September 10th lmao. It opened 9/17.

OK going back to before S2 of DF was released and we still had ~13,200 heroic kills. It’s still about 49% more kills just for heroic than compared to what heroic and mythic both have now for TWW. No doubt it would be the same for normal raiding.

And it’s not even just about numbers, the players overall are more saying keys and raids are dead because we are trying to play the game and seeing just how bad it is live as it happens.

Right now, although it’s a bad time for raiding, there are only 22 total groups listed for TWW raids for both Nerub-ar and Blackrock. Some days during peak I find half a dozen raid groups listed and less than a dozen keys.

Guild raiding is still alive and well.

There are some coordination checks this raid, so it would make sense that pug raiding is down.

Also, if you’re checking that now, it’s 1:30 AM on a work day, people are asleep.

Says who? The number of guild clears listed per raid boss says raiding is definitely not alive and well. I thought I posted those numbers already?

We’ll see what the numbers end up being when the season ends.

That being said, guild clears (especially for mythic) tend to be pretty back-loaded, so expect it to go up at an accelerating rate over the next 6+ weeks.

Maybe, personally I think with how much harder last 4 this raid is compared to prior raids, the only guilds left to clear this raid will be some late commers, or ones that are struggling with that last % and are waiting for more finery buffs to get over the line, and I don’t think that will be much. We only currently have 613 full CE guild clears in Nerub-ar, it was around 2,000 or so in DF S1.

it’s about 2000 now. Actual CE kills in DF S1 was 1673. With 6 weeks left in DF S1, there were only 657 Razageth kills, which means just over 1000 guilds killed it in the last 6 weeks of the tier.

Failed keys that do not deplete should be practice keys that no longer offer loot. :slightly_smiling_face:

Completely fine by me, they could even just immediately end the run when the timer expires. Give the player a choice when starting the dungeon.

Meh on the battle ground style ending. Not a good fit for dungeons/keys imho.

Choice in immediate ending or automatic continuation? Because that just seems like an unnecessary choice option…unless you’re designing it for auto-bots. :joy:

M12 feels like 2.5 key lvls harder than 10 or 11.
Once you defeat 12 it’s much easyer but its a stil HUGE jump from 11s. I really dislike it.

It’s not my fault you and the other guy are ignoring the numbers and opting to use “streamers” as data.

+11 really doesn’t give you any useful experience to help with a +12. It’s just a bad system.

I never stated that the system is great or good. I like the change coming to +12s. That’s not the argument here.

No, its because the mechanics are totally different and you’re not dealing with affixes.

+12 wall is the worst system they’ve ever put in M+. It’s completely chilling to pugs and leads to massive meta class gatekeeping.

While they’re at it they should make you have to clear raid bosses on heroic after every mythic wipe.

This is a terrible false equivalent argument. Each boss gives you loot and vault credit. Not each raid.

No-one running +12 or greater is doing it to grind loot (another bad faith argument). You get the same loot as +10 or +11. It’s just to see if you can.
